Lydia and Jason explained the story about the both of them leaving to Abella and Jeffrey. Leaving the sour flask part out. And meeting Grant in the woods, and him saving both Lydia and Jason's lives.

Abella looked at Grant.

"I am thankful you save my friend from being ripped by a green thorntail." She switched her gaze back to Lydia.

"What are you going to do about your father though."

Jeffrey nodded looking at both Lydia and Jason.

"Yeah because, this plan of yours, is crazy by the way.."

"One, because you want to work with a criminal that is wanted all over Oscana. And two, because commander Keenan is not easy to fool. Plus you didn't explain how the sour flask Keenan found on the floor and your badge adds up to the picture. So, how are we supposed to make Lydia's father believe the story you are trying to make Abella, Brad and I believe?"

"What do you mean? Is Brad here with you?"

After a few seconds, Jason saw his peg leg emerge through the bushes.

"Why did you leave, without letting your uncle know?"

Jason rolled his eyes.

"I... wanted a bit of space from you and Keenan. You guys are always putting pressure on me."

"Well, sorry but I'm your dad's brother and I have to make sure you don't get into trouble."

"Too late for that, I've been banned from the group that my father wanted me to be in. I tried to poison your best friend because I was mad at him, and I was kidnapped by an innocent man who's thought to be a murderer." He gestured towards Grant.

"Wait... you tried to poison Keenan?"

Brad looked at him.

"Lydia stopped me before I could, and I ran away because I knew that you would be mad too."

Jason turned around.

Brad sighed.

"That's where the sour flask comes in." He eyed Grant cautiously.

"You might make mistakes. Your father would be mad that you would try to poison someone. But he would be proud that you would help someone clear his name.

He put his hand on top of his shoulder.

"Thanks, I needed that. But now, how are we going to convince Keenan that Grant and I are innocent."

"How do we even know Grant is innocent?"

Jeffrey asked.

Grant tightened his fist.

"I saved them from being killed by a dragon. Plus, everything Keenan blames me for is a lie. "

"What about everything you've stolen over the years? Give us a reason to believe that you're innocent."

Grant lost his patience.

"Keenan made me look like I was the worst person in the world. I was an outcast and the only way I could feed myself was by stealing. "

He yelled. Jason looked at Jeffrey and Brad.

"Look guys, we owe Grant for saving our lives, the least we can do is help to clear his name no?"

Brad, Jeffrey and Abella nodded.

"But you should be worrying about clearing your own name."

Brad said. Jason nodded.

After a couple more minutes of walking, Jeffrey started breathing hard.

"Could we spend the night? I'm still kind of sore from my injury."

"It would be risky since there are night hunters searching for me and Lydia but if you guys are tired we could probably rest until morning. "

Jason said.

"We're going to have to make sure we are all well hidden."

Brad said.

Grant got up, and he looked like he had an idea. He reached in his pocket for what looked like potion ingredients.

"Of course, we can make a camouflage potion."

Brad said smacking his hand on his forehead.

"That stuff saved me multiple times from being caught."

Grant said.

'But can we make enough for Jason, Brad, Jeffrey, Grant, Abella, Angel, and me?"

Lydia asked.

'We don't have to make a lot, Just a little bit can last for most of the night for one."

Jeffrey answered.

"But we'll have to have someone on watch in case it wears off."

Jason suggested.

"I can take the first watch."
