Jason left his uncle alone in the potion room. But instead of heading to the dormitories, to give the potion to another night hunter, he headed up to the commander's office. Near the meeting room.. Since he knew that commander Keenan always had a bottle of carrot juice with him, he thought he could maybe sneak a couple of potion drops in it. None of the Night hunters knew why he liked drinking it so much, but it was perfect for Jason's plan. As Jason was going to open the door, He heard muffled voice through the door. And suddenly, Lydia bursted out of it and shut the door. Jason hardly had time to react, and they bumped into each other. Lydia fell and dropped a book she was carrying. Jason fell as well, and the vial of sour flask fell onto the carpeted floor.
"Sorry about that Lydia."
Jason said lending her a hand. Jason saw that she seemed in a bad mood. Her green eyes seemed angry or upset about something, and she was frowning.
"It's ok. "
Jason picked up the book she dropped, and saw pages of sketches she drew.
"Could you pass me my book? I'd like to keep that private."
She told him.
Jason passed it to her.
"Those sketches are really good."
"Thanks."
But she was still frowning.
"Are you okay?"
Jason asked her.
She sighed.
"I'm fine. "
Jason picked up the vial of potion on the floor.
"What is that?"
She asked closing the book.
"Nothing..."
Lydia rolled her eyes.
"I'm not stupid you know. "
She tried to grab whatever Jason was holding. Jason dropped it again, Lydia picked it up and examined the vial.
"Sour flask, What would you need sour flask for?"
Jason bit his lip. Lydia looked back at her father's door.
"You weren't going to...poison him. Were you?"
"Eh?"
He stuttered. Lydia was staring at him. After a few seconds, he darted for the door and ran as fast as he could out of the castle. He didn't want the commander to hate him even more. As he ran out the main gait, he turned right towards the horse stable. Where he found his gelding Ace. He mounted the horse and ran into the woods. Lydia stood, still confused by the way Jason acted. She was about to tell her father that Jason was going to poison him. But then she thought about the argument she just had with him. She was thinking that she could catch Jason herself. Even if it was against her father's wishes, she got her bow, armor from the armory, and got things in case she had to spend the night. Lydia also owned a Griffin named angel. Head, front claws and wings of an eagle, and lower legs of a lion. She had beautiful wings, feathered in gold, light pink and blue. Lydia always brought Angel when she went exploring since Angel always protected her in case of danger. Angel was also very good at tracking. So it would be easy to track Jason. They went to the stable together to see if the horse left tracks in the ground. Luckily it did. Then Angel examined the tracks and she gave Lydia the sign that she knew where Jason was heading. So Lydia climbed on Angel and they took off to go where Jason was heading.
