Keenan looked at them. Grant had both hands around the bars of the cell. He looked at Keenan hopeful.

"Alright," He gave in. "About seventeen years ago, when me and Grant were both night hunters together, Brad and Jason's dad were still training to become night hunters." Everybody in the dungeon was listening, including one or two prisoners. "Lydia you were about a year old. Your mother was the one that stayed with you when I went to help the other night hunters protect the village. Then one night, when there were three dragons attacking Alton, I went outside to go help the others. But Alice realized that I left my armor next to the door. So she wanted to come and give it to me since she didn't want me to get hurt. And so, she left you with the griffin that always stayed by your side. "

Lydia nodded.

"Then your mother came outside where a dragon as tall as a house was breathing fire everywhere. I saw her running towards me while I was fighting one of the other dragons. Grant was right beside me and I asked him to get your mother to safety.

'You forgot your armor.' Alice told me. And as I took it, Grant brought her where there was less fire. Close to a clift."

While everybody was listening to Keenan's story, nobody realized that Tony Williams had joined them in the dungeon. Keenan continued on. "I was a bit distracted keeping an eye on her and Grant. The dragon took advantage of that and it pushed me on the ground. I saw Alice looking back at me, and ran towards me. But Grant ran after her. As the dragon saw them running towards it, it bared its teeth and swung its tail at them. But Grant put himself between Alice and the dragon. The dragon's swing threw Grant and Alice towards the clift. Grant fell close to the edge. But I saw your mother was thrown farther. I noticed Grant leaning over the clift as your mother was hanging on.

I got back up as the dragon that had thrown them, turned back to me. It was going to try to claw me. I swung my sword at its chest, it roared as the weapon pierced through its skin. Backing away, it decided to flee. As it flew away, I turned back to Grant twenty feet away. He was kneeling with his sword in his hand. Breathless I ran towards Grant near the clift. I had hoped he had caught her before she fell. But I realized that she wasn't beside him. "Where's Alice?" Grant sighed. His head was down. Hand clenched around his ax. I peered over the edge of the clift. I saw your mother lying motionless ten meters below. I got mad and I ran down the side to see if she was okay. Grant arrived after me." Keenan had a tear coming down his face.

"What did you do?"I asked furious."

"She was thrown closer to the edge Frank. She caught the ledge, but I didn't have time to grab her hand."

"Why didn't you stop her when she ran towards me?!"

"Grant stared at me. "She absolutely wanted to make sure you were okay Frank."

"I clenched my fist, unable to process or accept it. "You're a disgrace to the night hunters!"

"It's not my fault, even I couldn't have predicted how hard the dragon would throw her."

"Go away! You killed her!"
