Hyunsuk opened his eyes to the irritating sound of the alarm on his phone. He grabbed his phone wanting to destroy it, but that's school mornings for everyone. He went to the bathroom attached to his room and washed up, getting rid of the gross feeling; it also helped him to wake up.
When he got out, Hyunsuk grabbed his uniform from the closet at the corner of his room. He removed his shirt, throwing it across the room.
Just when his bare chest was exposed, Soyoung walks in the room. "Hyunsuk, your mom is home!" She informed him.
Hyunsuk felt flustered as he rushed to grab his blanket to cover his body. "What are you doing?!"
Soyoung rested at the door and shifted her eyes from bottom to down. "Not bad." She commented.
"Am I the only one that feels uncomfortable?" Hyunsuk murmured. "I have a younger brother you know. I've seen all parts of a male body, from head to toe; trust me."
Soyoung emphasized looking at Hyunsuk, up and down and proceeded to leave the room.
Obviously, Hyunsuk felt flustered and uncomfortable. "Does she have no shame?." Hyunsuk mumbled to himself, slowly forming pouty lips.
He shaked his hair, feeling frustrated. "The hell am I even thinking."
Passing to the kitchen, he grabbed a sandwich from the fridge and microwaved it. As soon as the ding was heard, he got it and took a bite.
Still hot but bearable, it's cold in the morning anyways. He was on his way out until his mom came to view, fast asleep at the couch while alcohol reeked from her.
Hyunsuk sighed, grabbing a sticky note and a spare blanket. Just telling his mom to go out and have some soup to cure her hangover and sleep on her bed.
"You're gonna be late." Soyoung suddenly popped out of nowhere, she was already standing by the door. "Yeah." He replied briefly, looking at his mother one last time before shutting the door behind him shut.
"What an easy life, you're only 15 minutes away from school." Soyoung murmured.
"Your house is literally 5 minutes away from me, what's the big difference." Hyunsuk replied coldly.
"What's this..." Soyoung suddenly touched her right cheek, "...I feel like i'm being slapped across the face right now. Why are you being so mean? Is it because I didn't react to you when you didn't have a shirt on?"
Hyunsuk snickered, "I don't hold that kind of grudges you know." He insisted. "Sure." She replied, totally not trusting his words.
By just looking at her, Soyoung's words kept ringing in his mind like loud and consistent church bells. For someone who took their own life, she was too bright and positive; seeing the person she is right now, how could he hate her?
Entering the school gate, someone suddenly pulled Hyunsuk into a corner.
Since Soyoung was walking infront of him, it took her a few moments to realize that Hyunsuk wasn't walking beside or behind her. "Oh, where did he go?" She mumbled looking left, right and center but the person she's looking for is nowhere to be found.
