Choi Hyun Suk"Ya, I said i'll help you already. So why are you following me around?" I said while grabbing two cup of noodles.
"I don't want to be left alone in your house, its weird." She explained while following me around.
"Then following me doesn't make you feel like a stalker?" I briefly replied.
"Aish, I swear to God if only I could possess you." She crossed her arms and sounded annoyed of me,
"Do that and you'll lose your opportunity to communicate with Doyoung again." I replied before going to the cashier and paying for the cup noodles.
As the door opened, I put up the hood in my jacket and wore earphones. I placed my right hand at my pocket as my left hand carried the plastic bag of what I just bought.
Left, right, center, I could see ghosts everywhere I look. I closed my eyes for a second and I didn't want to open them again, I hate seeing the way they died.
"You can hear me, can't you?" I suddenly opened my eyes due to her voice, "You surprised me."
"Do you do this everyday? Do you wear earphones and cover your face with a hood in order to not see them? In order for them to not go to you and beg?" She asked.
"Yeah. I hate seeing them bloody and all, that's why im curious about you. How did you even die when you look like an ordinary person even in your afterlife." After my question, her expression seemed to have softened.
"You know, these ghosts have made me an outcast. At the same time they look at me with so much... pity." She stated.
"What do you mean?" I asked out of confusion and curiosity.
"The people who died before me, the ones who had a heart to talk to me, they told me some stories. They say there's a fault in my soul, a scar." She explained while we remained walking.
"Now what the hell do they mean." She looked at me.
"I'm not sure. I don't really know as well, it just that when I died; all of those spirits looked at me differently." I looked over to her, the color of eyes faded and empty.
"Like you I was scared of how they looked and I couldn't handle it but later I found out that im one of them. When everyone would walk pass and through me, when they would ignore me simply because they can't hear me. I realized it. What still bothers me is why do I look like this? Why am I even here?" Her too, she's also bothered by it.
"Are you not thankful that you look like a person in your afterlife?" I asked. "Why, should I?" She answered me with another question. "Well, I am. Atleast im not stuck with a ghost who's covered in blood."
She stared at me, her smile turning into a laugh. "Why? Am I pretty?" She giggled. I felt taken a back and—flustered. God, her nerves. "Who says so, huh?"
Even though I try to act tough and reject it, she knows that im flustered; she keeps on laughing at me. This girl, she's still so bright even after she died; she's pretty unbelievable.
