I looked at them as they laughed. I looked down at the pool as I saw Gabriel and Ana fighting against Dicky and Dawn on a chicken fight, Ricky being their coach. I was happy to see them having fun but at the corner of my eye I saw Nicky and Hayley happy.

It might me selfish to think that, that should be me.

I was suppose to be in Nicky's arms.
I was suppose to be the one laughing with him.
I was suppose to be calling him mine
I was suppose to be the one he said 'i love u' to.

My head turned to Denzel as he stood in front of me. He kissed my forehead and I looked up at him with my cheeks blushing. Denzel was my friend but he was the closest to my heart. He was always there for me when no one was.

"Don't look at them, I can see how you hurt." He said cupping my cheeks and I couldn't take it anymore, I shed my tears in front of him trying to not make a sound.

I felt him sat beside me as I burried my face in his chest. I was aware that I was soaking his shirt but neither of us cared. He brushed my hair with his fingers and I felt comfort even in the slightest bit.

"It's your birthday." Denzel started. "I want you to stand up and be the strong woman you are. Get your swimsuit and we'll show him what he's missing." He said and I looked up at him. He wiped my tears away and kissed my cheek.

"You always know what to say." I said giving him a chuckle. It gave him a smile and stood up, I took his hand and we ran inside changing into my swimsuit and Denzel changing in the kitchen bathroom.

I went down the stairs and Denzel waited for me. He was shirtless and only left his shorts on. I smiled at him and hugged him.

"Thank you for being there for me." I said into the hug. He pulled away and winked at me, we had a plan.

"Ready, babe?" He teased and I slapped his shoulder, cringing at the nickname.

"Whenever you are." I said and intertwined my fingers to his. I cringed and so did he but we proceeded.

We made sure the pool was clear and at the same time, we jumped. I heard Ana and Gabriel laughing as we started a war in the pool.

"One round of Chicken fight!" Dawn challenge us. I smirked and faced Denzel, we were good at this.

"Game on!" I shouted. Ana went up on Gabriel's shoulder and Dawn on Dicky's. I went up Denzel's shoulders their eyes went up to me.

"Woah, Y/n." Ricky said amazed at the side of the pool. I scan the room and saw everyone's eyes on me, including Nicky and Hayley's.

"You have abs now?" Dawn said and I shrugged.

"It's called going to the gym!" I said sarcastically and rolled my eyes. I looked at Denzel as I winked at him.

"Ooooh, power couple!" Ana said as she winked at me knowing what was going on. Gabriel smirked and seemed to get the idea.

"He's your boyfriend?!" I heard Dicky shout, looking at me and Denzel. I wanted to puke but I held it in.

"He's hot isn't he?" I said and looked up at Nicky who was giving us a glare. I gave him an innocent smile.

We played a quick game of Chicken Fight and of course, we won. I wrapped my legs on Denzel's waist as he carried me on the pool. I scanned my eyes around and saw Nicky walking out with his shirt off. My body froze and my eyes stuck on him. He changed.
