Jacob woke up first the following morning. He checked the clock and noted that they still had a few hours before school started. He placed a quick kiss to Troye's forehead, rolled out of bed, pulled on a pair of sweats and went downstairs to make coffee.

As soon as Jacob rounded the corner into the kitchen, he saw his Mom and Angie. "Hey..." he said hesitantly.

"Morning," Angie spoke up breaking the silence that followed Jacob's greeting.

Jacob grabbed two cups from the cupboard and began to pour coffee in both. Angie gave him a strange look.

"Oh...," Jacob cleared his throat, "Troye's here too."

Carrie's head turned quickly to look at Jacob.

"I...didn't want to be alone last night after dad called."

Angie shook her head, "Let's talk about that. What exactly did you hope to accomplish by basically making out with Troye on the couch without Mom even knowing that you think that you are gay now?"

"Really, Angie? That's really fucking rude."

"Language," Carrie spoke.

"First, I wasn't making out with Troye. We were just snuggling- big difference. Second, I don't just think I am gay, what I feel is something I never felt before. Trust me, I tried to fight my feelings and attraction, but I can't fight who I am. And finally, why should I have to announce my sexuality to the world. Why can't I just bring a boy home just as you would?"

Carrie spoke up, "Jacob, I love you and you know I don't discriminate. But, that boy is no good and I don't want him in my house."

"Why would you say that, Mom?"

"Angie said..."

Jacob cut his mom off, "Bullshit. Angie when I asked you about Troye the other day you essentially admitted that he was a good person and that you were too hard on him. What changed?"

"You brought him to our Mother's house, got all touchy feely with him on her couch without even giving her any sort of heads up. And then you have him stay over? Have you lost your mind?"

"You know what, fuck this," Jacob said. He left the coffee cups on the counter and went to his room. He gently shook Troye awake. "Baby, can we go to your house and get ready for school? Angie is being a bitch."

"Ya. Ok," Troye said wiping his eyes open. Jacob handed Troye his clothes and Troye quickly pulled them on. He laced up his converse and ran his hand through his hair. Jacob packed a bag with clothes and such and the two headed downstairs. Jacob grabbed his keys and headed to the door. "Pretty sure that car belongs to mom," Angie said. Troye paused and looked at Jacob. Jacob walked back into the kitchen, "What's your point?"

"Point is if you rather leave than live by Mom's rules, you can't take something that belongs to her, like a car."

"Wait- are you expecting for me not to come back?" Jacob asked his mom.

"You're the one that decided to leave," Carrie answered.

"I was just removing myself from an argument before it got worse. But," Jacob swallowed harshly, "Do you actually want me to leave for good, Mom?"

"I won't support this," Carrie said pointing to Troye. Troye's eyes went wide. "And it's not because you are gay, Jacob, that doesn't bother me at all. I just don't like who he is turning you into."

"What are you talking about?" Jacob asked.

"Jakey, you were such a good boy and now he has you all mixed up. Like seriously, you were at his house casually hooking up with him days after meeting him?"
