Monday morning, Jacob and Hari were on their way to school and Hari had a pout on her face. "What's your problem?" Jacob asked."We were suppose to meet with that lady today and you've not spoken to Troye all weekend and you're crushing my dreams of being a model," Hari explained.
Jacob sighed, "Hari, I don't know what the fuck to do here. I thought he would call or text and yet nothing."
"Well you could have called or texted him."
"It just didn't feel right."
"Fine, could you at least waltz into first period, tell him you are sorry, take him to the auditorium and fuck it out or something, I really want this opportunity."
"Don't be selfish, Hari," Jacob groaned and Hari pouted all the way to school and on their way to class.
Minutes later the bell rang for first period and Troye was not in his seat. Hari and Jacob exchanged glances and Jacob shrugged. 'Text him', Hari mouthed and Jacob shook his head. Jacob stared at Troye's desk as the teacher assigned them groups for their project and didn't stop until he was forced to sit with his group and start working.
It was little over half way through the class that the door opened.
"Did you forget to set your alarm, Mr. Mellet?" the teacher asked.
Troye shrugged and looked around the room.
"Right, as you can see we are in the middle of a project. It's too late for you to join now so why don't you sit there and I'll be with you when I can," the teacher instructed pointing to a desk in the corner.
Troye meandered over and sunk into the desk and placed his head in his arms on the top of desk.
Jacob stared at the boy from across the room. His heart pounded. Troye didn't even attempt to look at him. He was pulled from his thoughts when he heard Eric open his mouth. "Hey, hey Pop Star," Eric said.
Jacob glared at Eric, but Eric didn't notice nor would he really care.
Troye turned his head in his arms to look at Eric. "What?"
"Too many after parties this weekend?" Eric smiled.
"Umm no," Troye answered.
"Aw come on! There's got to be some pretty mean shindigs after a concert right?"
"Nope," Troye replied.
"Well then what did you do afterwards?"
"Went home and went to bed."
"What did you do Saturday then?"
"Sleep."
"And Sunday?"
Troye sighed and said, "I slept some more."
"Then why did you sleep in today?" Eric asked.
"Eric- it's way too early in the morning to be asking me all of these questions," Troye sighed.
Jacob felt annoyed, he couldn't believe Troye was even entertaining that asshole. Troye sat up tall as the teacher walked over handed Troye a worksheet and walked away.
Once she was out of the way, Eric added, "Well, you could give me your number and I can ask you later then?"
Troye burst out laughing and Hari lightly kicked Jacob's shin trying to urge him to do something.
"No- I won't do that," Troye said still laughing, "but, maybe instead of just annoying me you could explain this stupid fucking worksheet to me."
"Ya, sure," Eric said. He moved to a desk closer to Troye and pulled the desk even closer.
