Chapter Three

"All I wanna be all I ever wanna be is," I sung along to the speakers blasting the vamps through the whole house. Luke is away at work again due to the meeting yesterday not going as planned and him losing the partnership.

I grabbed the vacuum, vacuuming the kitchen and heading into the living room, apologising to Petunia when I woke her from her sleep. Luke also let me sign into his Spotify account and shows me how to work the speakers and link them all up so I didn't have to work in silence. I turned as I danced away to the vamps albums, using the vacuum as a microphone making myself laugh at the mental image of what I currently look like; thankful luke isn't home.

A smash was heard behind me making me instantly freeze in my spot. A click filled the now quite room as I switched the vacuum off closing my eyes. I turned on my heels before opening them again, fear filling my body. A sigh of relief left my pink lips as I realised it was only a photo frame and nothing to valuable and the image inside was still intact.

Bending down I picked up the frame turning it upside down for all the stray broken, tiny pieces of glass to collapse onto the floor before placing it down on the coffee table. Quickly I stood back up before heading over to Petunia ushering her up and out the room shutting the living room door so she didn't get cut. My attention moved to the image again as my hands gripped the matching gold frame to the ones upstairs in the corridor. Dryness filled my mouth as I stared harder at the image, my dad and Luke's dad.

The frame hit the table again as I instantly placed it down unable to believe what I just saw in the gold cage, my dad knows Luke's dad. I shook my head grabbing the dust pan and brush from the little cupboard in the living room where all the cleaning supplies are before sweeping all the clear shards up emptying them straight into a bin bag and tying in up making a mental reminder to throw it out when I've done this room.

I grabbed the vacuum again placing it in the cupboard done with cleaning today. My feet wandered across the laminate grabbing my phone and turning the music off, silence flooding the whole house; the only noise other then me, was Petunia panting in the other room.

"Petunia!" I called opening the door seeing her bounce towards me making me crouch down "want to go for walkers?" I cheered my hands fussing her receiving a bark back making me smile. "Walkies?" I asked again seeing her bounce up and run towards the door. "Hang on girl!" I called after her my voice being carried along the corridor.

I headed up the stairs taking two steps at a time so I could calm the bulldog terrier down, downstairs. Heading into my room I grabbed my checkered vans placing them on my feet grabbing the keys Luke gave me and heading back down, watching Petunia spin around in a circle.

"Here you go babes," I laughed grabbing her pink lead and clipping it on to her collar before pulled forward as she ran to the door again. A click filled the room, barely heard over the excited pants as she ran into the front garden. I gripped the lead tightly as I turned and locked the door, double checking it. Laughter left my mouth seeing Petunia attacking the guard with kisses and him smiling.

"I think that's the first time I've ever seen a smile on your face," I laughed at him grabbing Petunia and gently pulling her back so he could stand up.

"Hard to believe. Isn't it?" He laughed back making me nod.

"Kind of is, Ill be back in about an hour. Got to tire this one out,"

"I'll be waiting to let you back in,"

"There you are," I was greeted as I stepped through the door by an angry voice.
