Chapter Twenty
"Luke I've never flown before," I whispered gripping his arm as Luke signed us into the flight making his spare arm reach over and pull me into his side.
"Hush darling," he whispered before talking to the woman controlling the flight making me zone out and look at all the other people signing into their own flights. "Come on. Our flights ready," Luke told me grabbing my hand and our carry ons dragging us to a dark door. Hazel looked around as the employee opened it quickly ushering us through.
"Luke..." I trailed of as nerves kicked into gear knowing this isn't usually what happens.
"Baby, Hush," he repeated making me roll my eyes as he dragged me down a long corridor and out some doors leading outside making my eyes widen.
"You said you weren't spending money for the next two weeks," I pointed out,
"This was already booked darling before I made that offer, come on," he smiled pulling me up the stairs to the vehicle tapping the outside before ducking down and heading into the private jet. I mimicked his actions my mouth dropping at the sight. Soft brown leather furniture, was in the long tube, Luke already occupying on me of the seats summoning me over to him. My feet kicked into gear sitting next to him, his arm wrapping instantly around me pulling me into his side.
"You nervous?" He questioned holding my hand making me nod slightly
"I've never flown before Lu," I told him again making him sigh,
"Everything will be fine Nicky,"
"Coming from an experienced flyer," I scoffed making a chuckle leave his throat
"Coming from, knowing this is the safest mode of transport, the pilot is the best of the best in California. Nothing will happen,"
"Shush," I blurted out covering his mouth "don't jinx us," I laughed making him also laugh. "How long we here for?" I asked closing my eyes as tiredness ran through my body.
"Four days darling. Three of which I unfortunately have business to attend to," he sadly said making me open my eyes already seeing ocean blue staring at me.
"You've brought me on a trip and I only get to see you one the days," I said a frown present on my face hearing him sigh.
"I did say it was a business trip," he said rolling his ocean blues eyes at me.
"But I thought you did most the business meetings when you came up a few weeks ago,"
"I was there a day darling. I couldn't do much."
A gasp left my throat feeling the plane move underneath me, making me instantly look out the window seeing the surroundings move.
"Lu..." I trailed off again gripping his hand a lot tighter then I previously was.
"Just pay attention to me darling," Luke told me forcing me to look at him, ignoring the surroundings and focusing on Luke.
My ears popped as we went higher and higher making everything go muffled. A smile fell on my mouth as Luke leant over and kissed my cheek before looking outside seeing all the clouds beneath us. I leant over into Luke's shoulder feeling the soft jumper fabric under my ear and his head rest on top of mine comforting me.
"Are you ok baby?" He whispered making me hum,
"I'm fine, better then I thought it would be,"
"Told you your pretty face has nothing to worry about," he smirked making me roll my eyes. A ding sounded above us alerting us we can now remove our seatbelts. My fingers unclipped the seatbelt, the elastic instantly retreating and letting me move around the cabin. I pushed myself of the leather chair stretching my legs and heading to the back seeing a bar in my path.
