Chapter Twenty-Five

"Yes drop the professional CEO shit. No one knows you here. Be a cute couple with me," I snapped making him nod, anger flashing through his eyes.

As quick as it appeared it disappeared as he grabbed my hand pulling me into the shop. He dragged me to the ears grabbing basic ones before heading towards checkout, paying for them and dragging me out the shop, without uttering a word to me.

"Luke you're hurting me," I whined twisting my arms trying to get out his grip making his hand tighten around my skin.

"Stop acting like a brat Nicky," he snapped under his breath turning to face me, sorrow over his face. He finally released my hand letting my arm flop down to my side.

Slowly, he raised his own placing the red and white bowed Minnie Mouse wars on top of my curly hair, my hair wrapping around the headband slightly.

"I'll be back," he sighed turning on his heels and heading into the crowd leaving me standing there, in the middle of Disneyland, alone.

I sat down on the park benches, pulling the Minnie Mouse ears off my head, gripping them tightly in my fingertips. Embarrassment flooding my body, from people walking by who witnessed what happened between me and Luke.

"Hey are you ok darling?" A voice asked making my head snap up at the familiar nickname, uneasiness filling me when realising it isn't Luke.

"I'm fine. And I'm not your darling," I snapped slightly placing my bag over my shoulder and pushing off the bench to be instantly pushed back down by the stranger.

"You could be my darling," he winked his hand travelling up my leg making me uncomfortable.

"I have a boyfriend," I blurted out making him laugh, his hand getting awfully close to my heat.

"I don't see him around," he smirked before a cough sounded before us,

"Then I suggest you look in front of you and get your hands of her!" Luke snapped crossing his arms making the guy instantly stand up and back away slightly.

"Hey man, I didn't believe her that's all. Plus your fault for leaving a cute girl by herself," he said, a ghost of a smirk on his thin lips making Luke clench his fists.

"Leave now." He said calmly making the guy turn and walk away, his arm instantly finding another girl to wrap around and touch. "Hey it's ok darling, I'm here," luke said falling to his knees in front of me, placing his cold hands on my warm flesh.

"Please no darling," I whispered blinking away the scared tears as I wondered what would of happened if Luke didn't appear at that time. "He's ruined that for me," Luke nodded understanding pushing himself up and dusting his knees off offering me his hand.

I gripped the ring covered hand and stood up as he pulled, his fingers interlocking tighter as we started to walk into the crowds.

"I'm sorry I snapped earlier," he whispered, me barely being able to hear him over the Disney music blasting around us.

"It's fine," I started before he cut me off shaking his head harshly.

"It isn't Nick. I brought you on this trip so I could make sure nothing happened to you again and I just left you alone. In a place you don't know anything about." He ranted making a slight laugh leave my lips.

"I'm not a baby Lukey I can cope with you being at work and me left alone,"

"You're my baby Nicky." He muttered looking around. Before I could ask him exactly what he meant by them four words he dragged me towards another character he had spotted in the distance.

Neon orange and black caught my eye as he dragged me to the hundred acre woods, a smile falling onto my face and the past questions disappearing.

"Didn't you say you wanted to see Tigger more then sex?" He whispered into my ear sending shivers down my spine and my head nod. I stepped towards the tiger when the queue was gone walking into Tiggers awaiting arms feeling them wrap around my body. I turned to Luke seeing him with Eeyore talking selfies making me happy he was finally embracing being at Disney.

I passed my phone to the employee posing with Tigger before forcing Luke to be in some aswell. A few minutes passed before we were both told he had to go home making us say goodbye and find home holding each other's hands again.

"I'm tired Lu," I whispered closing my eyes and leaning my head on his shoulder feeling him stop and crouch down slightly.

"Get on," he sighed with a huge smile on his face letting me know he weren't annoyed at me. His hands gripped my thighs as I jumped onto his back grasping the thin, loose fabric in my hands bouncing every time luke took a step.

"Lu, I'm tired," I repeated leaning my head down on his shoulder hearing a hum come from his throat.

"Go to sleep Nick," he said before I was out in complete darkness being carried back to the hotel.

I awoke with my head balanced on Luke's shoulder as we sat in white chairs, our suitcases in front of us on the floor.

"Where are we?" I questioned lifting my head up and rubbing my eyes harshly trying to get them to stay open.

"Going home Nick," Luke said with a straight face staring at the blank chairs in front of us.

"Is everything ok?" I questioned again knowing we weren't meant to leave until tomorrow morning and this was an earlier flight.

"Petunia is sick," he muttered closing his eyes finally breaking the intense stare with the blank chairs.

"What?" I croaked out, my voice horse from just waking it.

"Kensie let her out to go play and go toilet and she got out their gate. When they found her after she went missing, she was sick. They don't know if she ate something or what,"

"I'm sorry Lu," I simply said placing a soft kiss on his cheek making him look at me softly.

"It has ruined everything," he whispered making me raise my eyes brows at him confused.

"Ruined what?" I asked causing a sigh to leave his sad face.

"I didn't want to say it here," he sighed before fully turning to face me.

"Lu, you're scaring me," I muttered copying his actions so our knees were touching.

"Here it goes. I never thought I would love again but you changed something in me. You flipped a switch I didn't know I had, it was broken after Arzaylea and you fixed it without me knowing. I hated the fact that guy was touching you and when you said I was your boyfriend that was a lie. I don't want it to be a lie." He started my mouth opening in shock at the words leaving his mouth. "I realised how quick I could lose you. I don't want you to be my maid anymore Nicky, I want you to be more then that. I want you to be mine."

His hands reached out and grabbed mine fear filling his ocean blue eyes.

"I wanted to do this ages ago, Kensie and Michael told me I should when they first met you. I knew I wanted you way before that just didn't know how to do it. I wanted to do it in Disney and be all cliche in front of the castle and ask you after you had a nap. I was going to take you to see the fireworks and ask you then while they are going on. But with work it was pushed back and back to our last day and well with Petunia being ill..... What I'm trying to say is. Nicola Smith, will you be my girlfriend?"
