What am I?

I run out of the room and run through the forest. I ran so quick that I was out of the woods in 32 seconds. I keep running but being the clumsy idiot I am I trip over a rock and start tumbling down a hill in the open field about 5 miles from town. I get up and pain shoots up my leg but i pay no attention to it as I start running to the town. I pick up speed as I run around the outskirts of town, trying to keep out of sight. I start jumping across roof tops and I see the house about a quarter of a mile away.

I run to the house. The words on Shelby's arm flash in front of my eyes "I'm coming for her"  I tried to open the door but it was locked. I wasn't going to let that stop me so I back up and run into the door, splintering it straight down the middle. I do it again and I fall to the floor with chunks of the door fly in slow motion and the window beside the door cracks and it looks like a spiderweb. I look around and see a little splotch of blood on the stairs. I run up the stairs with inhuman like speed and then I see a small trail of blood leading to my moms room so I run and smash into the door. One of those things popped its head up. There were about 3 or 4 in the room and one started to run towards me but, like the first one, when it touched my throat it burst into flames leaving nothing but an echo of its scream behind.

The other 3 looked at me with curiosity and fear in their eyes. Whatever these things are, whenever they touch me they burn. I realized that and walked toward the one closes to my mom and picked it up by the throat. It doesn't even have time to scream when it burned. I then went towards the next one and burned it too. I approached the last one and kicked it. The thing didn't burn. Skin contact burns it. I push it to the ground and say "Tell Christopher I said Hi" I smile and pick up my foot. It ran and small, demon like wings came from his back and crashed through the window. I run towards mom and check her pulse. Its not there. I rip a piece of cloth off my shirt and press it on the bite wound on her neck. Jake runs in beside me and starts to do CPR on her. "ITS NOT WORKING!" I scream. He continues to do it but nothing is happening. For 74 seconds he keeps trying then stops. "What are you doing?!" I scream at him but he just sits there looking at me with sadness in his eyes as a tear slips down his cheek. I start doing CPR on her myself but nothing happens.

"I'm sorry Elizabeth" Jake says. "Shut up! SHE'S NOT DEAD!" I yell at him. "Elizabeth, stop" he says calmly while trying to pull me away but I won't let him take me away from her. "GET OFF" I scream as I shove him off of me so hard he flies into the wall, leaving cracks in it all around him. I begin to try again but still nothing. "Elizabeth! Shes gone" Jake says. I look at him and look at my mom. He's right.... shes gone.... A  few tears slide down my cheeks as I look at my mom's lifeless face. A scream escapes my throat as I bury my head in my mom's neck, rocking her back and forth as the memories of her, dad, and I flash infront of me. At a picnic, on a hike, laughing at my dad when we shoved whipped cream in his face. A small laugh/cry comes from my soar throat.

The memories kept flying infront of my eyes as I rock her back and forth and I feel myself getting warmer. "Oh my god" I hear Jake whisper but I don't pay him any attention as the memories keep going and I start to feel hotter. "Elizabeth.... You're smoking" Now that caught my attention. I slowely pull myself away from my mom and I see my hands are on fire with smoke coming up from them and I look at my mom as the memories start to slow down. I pull back the piece of ripped clothing from her neck and look at where the bite mark is. More like was. I look over at Jake as he stares at me while the fire and smoke starts to die. He looks at me with amazement in his eyes. I look at my mom and she starts to breath. "Shes alive Jake" I say with joy in my voice.... but also fear.

Fear of what I just did... and what I am.
