Gang Rivalry

~ Two ~

Jughead's P.O.V

I woke up at the usual time this morning, 7:30, and got dressed and ready for the first day back at school. Senior year was going to be a long year, but once I graduate I'm done for good. Once I left at about 7:45 I walked to school with Archie.

Archie's Outfit:

We got to school with 5 minutes to the bell, so we got our books and headed to class. I texted Cheryl saying we would meet her at lunch.

Jughead🍔: Hey Cher, we're gonna meet you at lunch. Sound good?

Cheryl🍒: Sure. Cya then

Jughead🍔: Cya 

Archie and I got to class just as the bell went, so we were last in. After about five minutes a girl walked into class, and the teacher gave her a detention. I started laughing quietly, but the teacher heard which brought his attention to me.

*Jughead, Teacher, Betty*

"Well Mr Jones, since you find this so funny you can sit next to her. Miss Smith please be seated next to Mr Jones."

I obviously got pissed because I was already sitting next to Archie, so he moved and sat next to Sweet Pea while I argued with the teacher.

"You can't be serious!" I exclaimed at him with a hint of fury and sarcasm mixed into my tone.

"I'm very serious, and for back chatting you can join Miss Smith in detention after school. Or you're suspended too."

"Whatever." Is what I muttered to myself just so no one else would hear it, but it seemed this "Miss Smith" girl did because she looked at me slightly as she sat down.

After about 15 minutes I finally whispered to her,

"I'm Jughead Jones."

"Elizabeth Smith." Is what she replied with a second later. The bell rang 20 minutes later signalling 5 minutes to get to our next class.

Lunch took three long classes to get to, but now it's finally time to eat. Archie and I had class together before so we went to the cafeteria together where we met up with Cheryl, Sweet Pea and some other Ghoulies.

*Jughead, Archie, Cheryl, Sweet Pea*

"Hey Cher, how's it going Pea?" I spoke to them as I sat down at the table.

"Hey guys." Was all Cheryl could say before Sweet Pea started talking.

"Pretty average, who's the chick who now sits next to you in Chemistry?" Pea asked.

"She told me she was Elizabeth Smith but nothing else. She's hot though." I answered Pea's question and added something else on the end which got straight to the point and stopped him from asking any more questions.

"But hey, at least now I'm partners with you in Chem now Pea!" Archie said quite excitedly, which I'm assuming means Archie and Pea don't have any more classes together. They gave each other a fist bump and started eating while we talked about our classes this morning.

After the conversation finished I sat at the table looking around to see if I can spot her, but no such luck. I'll have to wait until detention to see her, unless she's in another class, but with my luck that won't happen.

The bell ringing took me out of my thoughts, so I dumped my lunch tray and headed to my locker to get my books for my next class.

Cheryl's P.O.V

I walked into the cafeteria with Sweet Pea and went to sit down at our usual table. Kids cleared out of our way quickly. Just the look of us was intimidating and said don't even think about messing with us.

Once Jughead and Archie joined we talked about some chick in his class now. Elizabeth Smith I think her name was. Once that was done and talked about we talked about classes and school shit, but I noticed Jughead seemed a little distracted. He was looking around the room like he was searching for someone, but shortly gave up and got lost in his own thoughts.

I decided against taking him out of his thoughts because I've seen the consequences. The bell rang shortly after and we left to go to class, with Jughead coming back to reality.
