Gang Rivalry

~ Seventeen ~

Betty's P.O.V

After an average day at school, I went home to find my parents in the kitchen. I told Toni on the way home that I was gonna tell mom and dad about my boyfriend, so when we got home she went straight up to her room or sat on the stairs listening to our conversation.

*Alice, Betty, Hal*

"Hi mom and dad," I said, trying to hide how nervous I was.

"Hi honey, how was school?" My mom said, turning to look at me as dad continued reading the paper.

"Pretty good. So I have something to ask you," I said, even more nervous, but tried not to show it.

"What is it, honey?" My dad turned his attention to me.

"Well, um... How would you feel about me dating a Ghoulie," I looked down as I spoke, not wanting to see their reactions, but slowly looked up as I finished talking.

"That's a bit of a shock," My dad said to me and looked at my mom, not knowing what to say.

"Obviously, a Ghoulie is not our first pick, but we fully support you," My mom smiled at me, and I returned it with a happy grin. I felt my phone vibrate and saw that Toni had texted me.

Toni🐍: Yay!

I put my phone away and looked up at my parents, grinning even more.

"Thank you so much! I love you guys!" I hugged them both and started to walk out of the kitchen but was quickly stopped by my mom.

"So, what's his name?" I suddenly got nervous again, because they would immediately recognise he is king just by me giving them his name.

"Jughead... Jones," I said quietly and looked down at the floor, scared at their reactions.

"The Ghoulie KING?" My dad said sternly.

"Yeah. But he's cool because he's not using me for information. I was actually the one that asked him out." I smiled at the memory and looked at my mother's happy face.

"Well, we're really happy for you honey," My mom was beaming at this point, and so was I. "So, when are we going to meet him?"

"Whenever he's ready. I'll text him now and see if he wants to come over tonight to hang out if that's ok?" I asked my parents and grabbed out my phone.

"Of course honey! We're so excited to meet him, aren't we Hal?" My mom looked at my dad with a threatening look, meaning she'll kill him if he didn't support this or agree with my mom.

"Of course honey!" He looked a little threatened when he spoke but still very happy.

"Yay! I'll text him to come over at 7. I'm heading up to my room now, bye!" I ran out of the kitchen and up the stairs, seeing Toni standing on them half way up.

*Betty, Toni*

"Well, that went amazing!"

"I know! And also he's coming over tonight." I said as we were walking through the small hallway to Toni's room.

"Do you want V over or me to go to hers?" 

"I'd prefer her to come here. Even if it's a date I still want my besties here, plus help with my outfit as per usual," We both giggled as we were sitting on her bed. "Also, maybe just stay up in your room or something, we're either gonna be watching movies in the loungeroom or my bedroom. Most likely my bedroom."

"Sure B, just try not to rip each other's clothes off," Toni giggled and a lightly shoved her.

"Eww gross Toni," I said back to her, and she couldn't stop laughing as she was calling Veronica, waiting for her to answer our FaceTime call.

*Betty, Toni, Veronica*

"Hey T, what's up?"

"Come over right now!"

"I'm on my way! But why?"

"Betty's letting us help her with her outfit for her date tonight. It's a special one! We'll explain when you get here-" I quickly cut Toni off.

"Just get your ass here V!" I shouted into the phone.

"Roger that," She giggled over the phone and hung up the call as she climbed into her car.

Veronica's P.O.V

I raced over to Toni and Betty's house, eager to find out what was so special about Betty's date with Jughead. It's a two-minute drive and I could've easily walked, but that would take too long. I quickly opened the car door and basically ran inside, saying a brief hello to Mr. and Mrs. Cooper then running upstairs into Betty's bedroom, finding her and Toni in her wardrobe.

*Betty, Toni, Veronica*

"What's so important about this date that you actually let me pick out your outfit!" I squealed loudly.

"Well, it's happening here," She smiled shyly and I immediately caught on.

"OMG, YOU TOLD YOUR PARENTS!!! B, IM SO HAPPY!!!" I ran up to her and we all did a group hug.

"Now V, we need to pick out an outfit while B you text Jug to come over at 7." She pulled out her phone and typed a message, a minute later she smiled at her phone and looked back up at us.

"He can come! I told him movie night."

"Well let's go casual cute then shall we." We turned back to her closet and spent two hours picking out her outfit and doing her makeup. When we were done it was 6:30 and we were sitting in the living room waiting on Jughead to show up. The doorbell rang and Betty got up to answer it while Toni and I rushed to the stairs, staying out of sight but able to listen to the entire conversation.
