~ Seven ~

Jughead's P.O.V

Today was a boring day. I didn't see Elizabeth at all, since we only have one class together and we don't have Chemistry on Tuesdays. The day went by pretty quickly, and I wanted to do something fun to at least end the day, so I texted Cheryl and Archie on our group chat and not the Ghoulie Junior group chat.

Jughead🍔: Hey guys, wanna hang at Sweetwater River in a bit?

Archie💀: Sure I'm in.

Cheryl🍒: Yeah definitely. Meet at Jugs house? And what time?

Jughead🍔: Yeah mine works, and in half an hour?

Cheryl🍒: Cool. See ya soon!

Archie💀:See you guys in a few.

Jughead🍔: See ya then.

I got ready in navy blue swimming trunks, and just threw on one of my 'S' T-shirts, a light grey one,  packing a towel for myself. I watched TV until I heard a knock on the door, and opened it to see Archie. He was wearing black shorts and threw on a plain red T-shirt. We decided that since we were just going to Sweetwater River we didn't need our Ghoulie jackets. Cheryl arrived about 5 minutes after Archie, wearing a casual Cheryl outfit, and was ready to leave.

Cheryl's Outfit:

We rode to Sweetwater River on our motorbikes, parking them near three other motorbikes, and walked to our usual spot. We got there and saw three bags, with clothes and Serpent Jackets?! I looked into the river and saw a girl with pink hair wearing a green bikini, then a girl with raven hair wearing a yellow bikini. Both were facing me, but there was a girl with blonde hair with her back turned to me, and she was wearing a white bikini. Her friend must have whispered something to her because she immediately turned around to face me. When she turned around I saw the most beautiful girl I had ever seen, Elizabeth.

Betty's P.O.V

We were swimming and having a great time. We had probably only been swimming for about half an hour when suddenly Toni and Veronica stopped and stared at where our stuff was, but I had my back turned so I didn't know what they were looking at. Before I could ask what they were looking at, Veronica quickly whispered to me,

*Archie, Betty, Cheryl, Jughead, Toni, Veronica*

"B, turn around."

"What, wh-" I stopped talking as soon as I could see what they were talking about. Jughead and two of his Ghoulie friends. I was so confused as to why they were here, but mostly worried about if they saw our Serpent jackets.

"What are you doing here?" Toni finally spoke up as none of us were willing to talk.

"We did come to have a swim, but now we're more interested as to why you have Serpent jackets." Well shit, now they're gonna know way too much. That's bad for anyone to know, but the Ghoulie King! We were screwed now.

"Why would we have Serpent jackets for any reason other than being Serpents?" I'm glad Veronica was willing to answer that because I would've made up some lie that would've dug us into a deeper hole.

"If you're Serpents, why haven't we seen you girls, especially Blondie here, wearing these?" The guy with red hair, I think his name is Archie, asked a question which answering would reveal way too much.

"That's nothing you need to know." Is all I spoke up during this entire conversation.

"Oh maybe not, but you are going to tell us because we are pretty curious." The girl with the bright red hair spoke up very aggressively, and at this point I was climbing out of the water and heading over to our stuff.

"Easy Cher, calm down." He spoke to her, and then looked at me as I was walking over to where we placed everything, and I started putting my skirt on. "But you know, she's right, we are pretty curious." 

"Well too bad." At this point we had already got our clothes on, slipping on our shoes and started walking over to our bikes.

"Leaving so soon? But we only just joined you." Jughead said as he walked in front of me, blocking my path.

"Oh well too bad, because we're going somewhere you're not." I tried to walk around him but he just stepped in front of me again.

"Now Princess, it isn't very nice to speak to people like that."

"Oh well, everyone's just going to have to toughen up I guess, won't they." I had managed to sneak around him by this point and was walking towards my motorbike with Veronica and Toni close behind. I could feel him smirking behind me, and even I was smiling. Not sure if it was from this small achievement of me standing up to the Ghoulie King, or the fact that he called me Princess and was almost flirting with me.

I shrugged it off as I hopped on my motorbike, Veronica and Toni hopping on theirs. We weren't willing to go home just yet, it was only 4:30. So we rode up a hill and to a place where it seems like only we know about. We reached the top of the hill and parked opposite a forest. We walked through the forest on the small path, probably made for the national park that was supposed to be here. We kept walking until we found our favourite spot ever, the waterfall.
