Gang Rivalry

~ Fourteen ~

Betty's P.O.V

I woke up in an unfamiliar bed, with strong arms wrapped around me. I look up to see Jughead still sleeping and I remember how we got her, bringing a smile to my face. I notice the covers pulled up to my shoulders, which means Jughead noticed I got cold through the night. It was expected though with me wearing a hoodie and shorts, and Jughead wearing sweatpants and no shirt.

I look up at him again and notice a lock of raven hair has fallen in his face, and I instinctively move it back, waking him along the way. His eyes flutter open, and as soon as he sees me a smile is brought to his face.

*Betty, Jughead*

"Morning Beautiful." He says to me as he kisses my head.

"Morning Juggie," I spoke softly to him and giggled.

"Have I ever told you your giggle is the most beautiful sound in the world?" This caused me to giggled more.

"No, you haven't actually."

"Well then, I guess I have to tell you more often."

"Maybe you do," I replied with a giggle.

"You hungry for breakfast Betts?"

"A little bit. What have you got?" I looked up at him and smiled. He returned my smile and began to speak.

"We'll just have to go and see." He said and started to get up.

"What time is it Juggie?" He checked his phone and replied looking at me.

"7 am."

"Juggie can you come back and cuddle with me for a bit? It's too early." He chuckled at my whining and got back into bed.

"Anything for you Betty Cooper."

We ended up falling back asleep, waking up at 8:30. Jughead was awake first this time so he woke me up by kissing my head.

"Betts, it's 8:30, wanna have some breakfast now?"

"Yes please," I mumbled still half asleep. "Can you please carry me?"

"Of course." He chuckled and picked me up. I wrapped my legs around his waist as he carried me to the kitchen and placed me on the counter. He started making scrambled eggs for both us while we had a casual conversation.

"So, what time are your parents supposed to be home?" 

"Around 12 I'm pretty sure."

"I'll head out around 10 if that's ok."

"Yeah that's fine, you don't wanna stay a little longer?"

"Nah it's fine. I'm supposed to meet Toni at Pop's around 10:30 so we can head back to my house together."

"Did someone sneak out?" I looked at me with a smirk as he said that.

"Maybe. I told my parents I'm sleeping at Veronica's house, and Toni told her parents I was sleeping at a friends house."

"You're a sneaky one Cooper." He smirked at me as he set the eggs on the table.

"Only for you Jones." I smiled at him as I hopped off the counter and moved to the dining table to eat breakfast.

Jughead's P.O.V

"This is delicious Juggie." She smiled at me before it became a smirk. "I didn't know you could cook this good."

"Surprised you didn't I Princess."

"Sure did. I'll do the dishes."

"No, it's my house I'll do them."

"Too late I'll do them." She giggled at me and grabbed my plate to join hers in the sink. Once she had finished washing them and placing them to dry I went to wrap my hands around her waist and rested my head on her shoulder.

"Hello there." She giggled at me.

"You know Betts, I really love hearing you giggle. It's just music to my ears." She started smiling.

"Oh really." She turned around to look at me.

"Yep." I started tickling her, making her run around the kitchen.

"Juggie stop! I'm very ticklish!" She was running around the island in the middle, and I was chasing her around it.

"I didn't know that before, but now I do." I laughed at her, and she started running to the couch. I finally caught up to her and held her while I tickled her.

"Juggie. Stop." She giggled even more.

"Do you surrender and watch another movie with me?"

"I have to leave in an hour, we're not gonna be able to watch a full movie."

"Maybe, but I just want to cuddle with you on the couch." I sat down on the couch.

"That I can agree to." She giggled and sat next to me, then I pulled her onto my lap. We cuddled until it was 30 minutes until she had to leave, so she got up to shower and get dressed. She came out of the bathroom dressed 10 minutes before she had to leave, so she joined me on the couch again.

"I had a lot of fun with you Juggie." She giggled.

"Oh god. I've turned Elizabeth Cooper into a total softie."

"And I've turned Jughead Jones into a complete softie too." She smiled at me.

"And I'm ok with that," I said giving her a kiss on her forehead. 

"I've gotta go head to Pop's before Toni wonders where I am. Bye Juggie!"

"Bye Betts." I gave her a quick peck on the lips and let her get on her motorbike and speed to Pop's.
