Gang Rivalry

~ Eleven ~

Veronica's P.O.V

Betty came to lunch all happy and excited. I'm haven't seen her this happy since we were 14 and her parents finally let all three of us become Ghoulies. Toni noticed it too because she gave me the same look I was giving her.

*Betty, Toni, Veronica*

"Sooo...B." Toni started, signalling for me to continue. Betty looked up at us, her face saying yeah? to us.

"Did he say yes?" I asked, me and Toni were eager to find out the answer, and have been texting each other all morning. She started blushing immediately then began to spoke.

"As a matter of fact he did." She paused for a moment like she was contemplating on whether or not to tell us what happened. "And I gave him my phone number so he can text me the details about when our date is."

"OMG!!!" Toni and I squealed for the 100th time today.

"Get him to text you tonight about the date so both me and V can be there to see what's happening."

"Or better yet, I text him myself." I grabbed Betty's phone and searched through her contacts for a 'Jughead' or 'Jones' or something similar. She had him listed under 'Jug Jones' and I quickly texted him before she took back her phone.

Betts🌹Smith: Hey Jug, I was thinking we could go out on Saturday if that works? Also text me tonight with the details?

Jug🍔Jones: Yeah sure that works. And I'll text tonight.

Betts🌹Smith: Cool.

She took back her phone and read the texts we exchanged. She blushed a bit and I heard a little giggle, before we continued eating our lunch and gossiping until the bell signalling lunch over went.

"See you girlies at the end of the day!" I said to them before walking off to my class.

Archie's P.O.V

Jug walked out of class excitedly today, and wouldn't tell me anything until we were in lunch and Cheryl was there.

*Archie, Cheryl, Jughead*

"Now that Cheryl's here can you tell us why you're so excited?" I asked eager to know.

"Fine." He mumbled and finished off the bite he took out of his burger. "Elizabeth asked me out for a date, and I said yes." I noticed for once in his life he actually blushed.

"Ugh! Yes! About time Jones!" Cheryl shouted and Jughead and I just laughed at her. "Wait! She had to ask you out!"

"Yeah, yeah I know." He mumbled knowing a Cheryl lecture was coming up.

"Cher don't lecture him. Can't kill his mood before Mr. Turner in his next class." I laughed and Jughead groaned.

"True." Cheryl giggled. After that his phone lit up and it was a text from 'Betts🌹Smith', which I assume is Elizabeth. 

"Saturday night huh?" I said which got him to look up from his phone.

"Yeah, sorry Cher I can't do movie night this means."

"Don't worry about it. Spend time with your girl." Cheryl giggled, then continued, looking at me. "But you can still come though, right Arch?"

"Yeah of course. Anything for Lady Cheryl." I did a little bow and she giggled. I have to admit I was flirting with her a bit, even though I knew she would never like me back. The bell went for the end of lunch.

"Alright, see you guys after school." Jughead said as he walked away to his class.

"See ya!" I shouted after him. "Bye Cher."

"Bye Arch." And we all headed off to our separate classes, planning to meet up after school.

Betty's P.O.V

We walked home like usual, and as soon as we stepped in the door, we were greeted by my mom.

*Alice, Betty, Toni, Veronica*

"Hey girls! Oh hi Veronica! Nice to see you on a Thursday!" She chirped with a happy smile as she gave us all a hug.

"Hi Alice! It's lovely to see you too." She said back and gave my mom a smile.

"Hey mom, we're just gonna all head into my room and talk."

"Of course. I've got cookies in the oven, so I'll call you girls down when they're ready. Love you all."

"We love you too!" Toni said back as we walked into my room.

"So. Anything new with Jughead?" Veronica said with a huge smile while she was pulling off her shoes. Thank god Toni had just closed the door. My parents would freak out if they heard me talking about a Ghoulie.

"Would you keep your voice down!" I whisper-shouted at her. "But no, nothing new."

"Oh well, it's been like a few hours. Plus he said he'll text you tonight." Toni chimed in, and had already taken her shoes off.

"True-" I was cut off by my mom shouting from the kitchen.

"Girls! Cookies are baked!" She shouted excitedly for us.

"Be right there mom!"

"This conversation will continue later." Veronica said as we were leaving my room.

"Sure." I laughed and walked into the kitchen to eat what my mom had baked for us.

It was much later and we were sorting out our outfits for tomorrow, as we like to "Dress Up" on Fridays. Once we were done we were exhausted and flopped on my bed when my phone lit up, showing a text from Jughead.

"Ooh! He texted! What's happening Saturday!" I had barely gotten hold of my phone when Toni chimed in.

"We can't wait B hurry up!"So I showed them the text.

Jug🍔Jones: Swim at Sweetwater then movie back at my place?

The both tried to silently contain their excitement, and they were able to, which was lucky considering it was 10pm.

Betts🌹Smith: Yeah that works. What time should I get to yours?

Jug🍔Jones: About 3pm so we can swim for a few hours. I'll pack some snacks, what's your favourite?

Betts🌹Smith: Oreo's!

Jug🍔Jones: Perfect. I gotta go. Night Princess✨

Betts🌹Smith: Night Juggie✨

We left the conversation at that, so I put my phone back on my bed side table and went back to talking to Veronica and Toni. We stayed up talking until 3am when we decided to call it a night. I drifted off to sleep thinking about none other than Jughead Jones.
