- 'Dude!' Hayley exclaimed, loudly. 'I haven't heard this song in so long!'
- shaking her hips to the beat, as she wiggled her eyebrows at you seductively.
- 'Hayles!' You attempted to converse with her, her slim figure beginning to frantically dance around you.
- flinging her paint brush with her as she did so.
- 'Babe, you know you're getting paint everywhere, right? You giggled, unable to resist her adorable charm - as you gestured towards her now paint splattered white dungarees.
- hayley shrugged her shoulders playfully, taking small steps towards you.
- 'Whatever, spoilsport!' She teased, smiling wide as she placed a peck to your lips.
- before spinning back around towards the wall she had been painting.
- causing you to scoff, shaking your head at her; unable to not bare a smile at her cheeky nature.
- You picked up your roller, coating it throughly in paint once again; before pressing it back up against the wall.
- hayley's angelic tone soon beginning to circulate your ears - as she instantly sang along to the song lyrics.
- 'Of course you know the words!' You stated, peering over your shoulder at your girlfriend who stood on the top tier of a step ladder.
- 'Impressive, huh?' She laughed, grinning with her teeth; as she gave you a little wink.
- you turned your head back to face the wall.
- but, before you could even get back to painting.
- you heard a startling clatter behind you, that made you jump in shock.
- you darted 'round to find hayley on the floor, eyes clenched shut - reaching out to cradle her freshly injured knee.
- 'Shit! Baby, you okay?' You shot out your words, your tone obviously panicked as you rushed over to her side.
- 'Fuck, that hurts.' Hayley hissed, her skin stinging.
- 'Let me see?' You asked her cautiously, looking into her eyes, patiently waiting for her confirmation.
- she removed her hands from the damaged area, allowing you to roll up her pants leg.
- blood seeping through a little, staining the material.
- 'It's just a graze.' You confirmed, sighing in relief. 'You'll be okay.'
- 'Still stings like a bitch though.' Hayley smirked, trying her best to mask the pain.
- 'Let me patch you up.' You smiled, kissing her forehead lovingly before springing up from the floor and bolting into the kitchen.

- you returned a couple minutes later, with a large band aid and a few antibacterial cleansing wipes in hand.
- 'Wow, look at you.' Hayley mused, brushing the side of your jaw with her thumb to ground herself.
- as you began to clean the graze, in the most gentle way possible.
- after you'd completely cleansed the wound, you then applied the band aid, carefully.
- peering up at hayley, who smiled back at you immediately.
'How's that?' You questioned, rolling her pants leg back down.
- before giving her a helping hand, back to her feet.
- 'Perfect, thank you.' She praised. 'You're good at that, might have to clumsily injure myself more often.'
- 'Please don't,' You exhaled. 'But, if you did I'll be here to take care of you.'
- hayley's soft giggle warmed your heart, her lips pressing firmly against your cheek in appreciation.
- 'At this rate, we're never gonna get this living room finished.' Hayley commented, peering around at the progress you'd both made.
- 'We will.' You assured her, smiling sincerely.
'But, let's just keep you off those ladders for a while, deal?'
- 'Deal.' Hayley agreed between laughter, picking up her paint brush in anticipation.
- ready to get back to work.
- hopefully this time, with a little less bumps and bruises.
