Context: This chapter consists of a combination of different things that I decided to write up all together.
The first prompt I got for this imagine was...
[H and the reader are going to a hotel with some friends and they're just having fun. After a while something I triggers the reader and hayley is comforting and tries to make her laugh.]
♥ Requested by @Viciousss ♥
Then, a while back @maxx_smith77 asked if I could do something surrounding hayley's hair company Good Dye Young.
🌸 So, this is what I came up with. 🌸
Chapter Summary: The reader is an employee at hayley's hair dye company and works at the GDY office. She has developed somewhat of a romantic relationship with hayley, but nothing is official or particularly serious. Until, during a staff night out something triggers the reader where hayley is there to comfort her and their relationship moves to the next level.
⚠️ Trigger Warnings: Mentions of large crowds and descriptions of a panic attack. ⚠️

- "These look awesome, Y/N." Brian kindly complimented your work, his hands resting at the top of your desk chair - as he peered over your shoulder to see the monitor more clearly.
- "Thanks, Brian." You replied promptly, with a bright smile; using your computer mouse to flick through the different selections.
- "Thought I'd try something we hadn't done before." You explained your thought process to him, you'd been working on these social media templates all morning.
- it was time that the brand got a whole new online look - you'd switched up the logo a little, messed around a bit with different colour ways and patterns.
- until you found a design concept that you really liked, and frankly that you were super proud of creating.
- it was the first really big project that you'd been given to work on since you'd started at good dye young as their new social media intern.
- which was a clear test to see how you would perform under pressure, with set deadline and expectations in place.
- however, despite the responsibly that came with the task; you still wanted to give it your best shot.
- to show your genuine commitment to the company and how much you cared about the opportunity that you'd been given.
- also, if you did well enough; the overall rewards would be great and could come with a hefty bonus too.
- which was something you certainly weren't going to pass up on.
- "Definitely!" Brian enthused happily, with an assured nod - as his fingers wrapped themselves gently around your right shoulder.
- "We've been needing to branch out more with our promotion designs for a while."
- "And, this is so fucking cool." He grinned widely, as you caught his eyes - your knuckles colliding with his in a celebratory fist bump.
- "That means an awful lot, man." You beamed, over the moon to hear that your hard work was finally being appreciated.
- "So when would you like everything wrapped up by?" You asked your superior, watching his movements closely as he brought his fingertips up to rub his chin.
- "Hmm." He momentarily hummed in thought, clapping his hands together briefly before deciding to speak again. "Let's say, final templates done by two o'clock?"
- "Then, we can switch everything up on our platforms tomorrow, yeah?" He proposed, his eyes flicking between you and the big red clock on that nearby wall; as he pondered over the fairness of the time frame.
- "Okay," You answered simply, gulping subconsciously after the word slipped out - that only gave you an hour. "I can do that."
- "Sweet!" You heard Brian's voice sing from behind you, as he gave you a generous pat on the back. "Good job."
- "So looking forward to seeing these up online!" He added swiftly, shooting you double finger guns before walking to the opposite side of the office.
- you waved him off with a toothy grin and overly enthusiastic expression.
- in an attempt to try and hide the worry that must've been obvious in your features.
- as you let yourself sink down into your seat ever so slowly, you swore you could hear the time ticking down in your head.
- bitting down on your bottom lip briefly, you held your breath before loading up the editing software on your pc.
- "An hour." You mumbled to yourself quietly, trying not to let the apparent pressure get the better of you as your eyes glanced down at your watch. "Yeah that'll be enough time."
- "Everything done and dusted in an hour." You began to give yourself the prep talk you didn't know you needed.
- "I can do this!" You muttered away at your desk, inching further towards your computer as you felt your body and mind slip into the zone. "I've got this in the bag!"
- but, before you were able to carry on with your work any further - you were met with the familiar sensation of warm breath tickling your right ear.
- as slender arms draped themselves securely over your shoulders.
- while you felt the woman behind you suck in the surrounding air, before exhaling shortly after in anticipation to speak.
- "What you doing?" She practically sung, her voice as harmonious as ever while she took in the images on your screen.
- "Just social media stuff." You let out lowly, swivelling around in your chair to face the lady the beautiful voice belonged to.
- it was hayley.
- she was your boss essentially, but also the girl you'd fallen for and discovered a newfound friendship with.
- the relationship was kind of complicated though, neither of you wanted to take things too fast.
- as you both hadn't had the best experience with dating in the past and just wanted to experience each stage at a time.
- nothing was ever too serious with hayley, she radiated such calming energy from the very first moment you met her.
- that you instantly felt safe within her presence, although she wasn't aware of all the darkened parts of you yet.
- because as of right now, your relationship was still very new.
- it was fun, freeing and filled with blissful moments and bashful smiles.
- but you couldn't restrain the yearning you felt for a deeper connection forever.
- "How're you doing? You okay?" You asked the brightly dressed woman before you, as your fingertips stroked lightly at the soft skin of her elbow.
- "Yeah, I'm good." She answered sweetly, her eyes darting around the sparsely filled office space before they returned to you. "Brian called me in, there's some branding stuff he needs me to look over."
- "But," She then raised her voice slightly, as her eyebrows shot up - her hand reaching into the tote bag that hung from her shoulder. "I brought you lunch."
- "It's your favourite." She stated knowingly, her ponytail swaying back and forth as she spoke - as she brushed a few loose strands of hair from her eyes.
- "You remembered." You breathed quietly, as a swarm of butterflies began flutter madly in your stomach; while you accepted the food container from hayley's grasp.
- "Yeah, of course." She told you honestly, tucking one hand into the pocket of her white mom jeans while the other straightened out the collar of your shirt.
- "Just don't tell the others though, okay?" She giggled a little, pressing her pink painted lips to your cheek before her sparkling green eyes locked back into yours. "Otherwise I'll be in big trouble."
- "My lips are sealed." You whispered deliberately, bringing your index finger up to your lips as you saw hayley chuckle cutely.
- "They better be." She warned you, her fingers loosely intertwining with your own as the pair of you talked.
- trapped inside your own little bubble, until somebody stuck a sharp needle into it.
- bursting you and your respective love interest out of it and back into the real world.
- "Yo Williams, we need you over here!" You heard your colleague Becca yell across the room, her fluffy blue hair popping into view as she ushered hayley over.
- "Stop flirting and come help us!" You heard Brian chime in, his statement followed up by a flurry of laughter from the surrounding staff.
- your newly developed relationship with hayley certainly was the hottest topic of the GDY office.
- there wasn't a day where it wasn't brought up.
- despite their joking though, you loved your coworkers dearly.
- so you never retaliated to any of their cheeky comments, other than the occasional eye roll.
- they were just messing.
- and besides, you knew how much they cared for hayley's feelings - especially on the topic of new love.
- "That's your cue." You shot Hayley a wink, an adorable pout forming at her lips as she removed herself from your touch.
- "I'll be back." She assured you, with an appreciative squeeze to your shoulder before she swiftly moved away from your desk.
- "Eat, then work though please." She pretty much ordered, pointing a stern finger your way as she narrowed her eyes at you.
- "Yes, Mom." You joked mischievously, opening up the food container in front of you and sticking your plastic fork into the pasta before taking a large bite.
- "Oh!" Hayley then gasped, her petite frame quickly coming back into view.
- "You're coming out tonight, right?" She queried instantly, with pure excitement evident in her tone as she spoke and you almost choked on your mouthful of food at the question.
- "Um," You tried to start, shallowing hard before you abruptly cleared your throat - ready to give it another attempt.
- "I don't know." You hesitated slightly, watching as hayley's features began to soften as she moved in closer to you. "I mean..."
- "...I was just gonna pass on this one." You eventually managed to finish your sentence, but it already wasn't convincing enough and you knew it.
- "Why not?" Hayley whined, as she popped out her bottom lip - her adorable expression alone melting your whole heart. "It'll be fun."
- "I just don't really feel like it, you know?" You attempted to explain, as you let hayley's fingers curl around your forearm.
- "Awwh please, baby?" She cooed, the use of such a sweet pet name tactical as she knew you loved it when she called you that. "For me?"
- "I want you to come." Hayley pushed her luck further, as she whipped out those killer puppy dog eyes that you simply couldn't resist.
- "Okay okay fine, I'll come." You gave in, holding your hands up in defeat - which earned a delighted cheer from hayley.
- "Yesss!" She hissed happily, leaning in and kissing your lips delicately - before tugging on your bottom lip gently with her teeth.
- "I'll pick you up at 8, alright?" She then prompted, her palms cupping both of your flustered cheeks - as she popped a tiny kiss to the tip of your nose.
- "Yeah, okay." You answered lowly, your voice remaining hushed; as you felt the overwhelming heat from hayley's body move away. "I'll see you later."
- "Bye, Y/N." You heard her reply, her gorgeous smile left imprinted on your mind throughout the rest of the day.
- until she picked you up later on that evening, for a night out on the town.
•
- "Oh my god guys!" You heard Brian howl into the darkness, as his extremely intoxicated state wobbled down the sidewalk.
- "We have to go here!" He announced loudly, shooting a hand out in the direction of the huge hotel on his right.
- "Fuck yeah!" Becca nodded frantically, with a cheeky grin plastered across her cheeks - as she moved in closer to him.
- "I've heard that they do the best cocktails in the whole city." She added purposely, with a strong wiggle of her eyebrows; her movements sloppy as she draped an arm around brian.
- "Right?!" Brian gaped, grabbing hold of becca's reddened face - staring her down, as you and hayley giggled at the druken idiots .
- "I wanna try 'em." He told her honestly, scrunching his nose up briefly in discomfort as he fought with the top bottom on his tiger striped shirt.
- "Me too!" Becca laughed obnoxiously, and you caught hayley's eyes roll - as she linked tightly onto your left arm.
- she had to steady herself somehow.
- she'd already had a few drinks at this point and was now finding it impossible to walk in her platform boots.
- probably not the best choice on her part.
- but, you didn't mind - it was nice to hold her close, especially in public.
- "Alright, fucking hell." Hayley scoffed, her expression definitely amused as she chuckled aloud - moving away from your side momentarily to shove the tipsy duo inside. "Let's go inside then."
- "Talk about babysitting." She mocked, whimpering lowly into your ear, which caused a flurry of laughter to leave your chest.
- as you witnessed the rest of your co-workers pill into the crowed building without a second thought.
- unlike the other clubs you'd been in tonight, this place was absolutely booming with people.
- it was the beverly hotel.
- which was known as the biggest and most expensive place in town.
- you'd never been here before, mostly because of that exact reason.
- it was always far too busy.
- you wouldn't be able to hear yourself think, there would be no personal space.
- the majority of people inside where probably entitled assholes with too much money and no concept of boundaries.
- however, you didn't have much of a choice but to go ahead with the plan.
- "It looks super crowded in here." You stated the obvious, gulping harshly as you dragged your eyes over the giant glass windows to discover the tons of dancing party-goers inside.
- "That must mean it's good, right?" Hayley queried immediately after - and you hummed, tagging behind her slender frame as she made her way through the doors.
- "Here." She offered out a hand sweetly, upon noticing how insistent you were on keeping staying near at all times.
- "I'll make sure you don't get lost." She reassured your nervous state, that you were desperately trying to suppress - with a loving smile, as she stuck out her tongue cutely.
- "Thanks." You grinned widely, with a small nod of your head - the anxiety you felt from the surrounding drunken strangers beginning to ease a little.
- while you allowed hayley to guide you carefully through the sea of bodies, until the bar was finally in sight.
- along with the rest of the good dye young team, who'd already ordered themselves an extortionate amount of cocktails.
- "What took you guys so long?!" Brian groaned deliberately, clearly annoyed as he swatted your arm and you gasped.
- "Oh, come on." Becca told you, as you slumped your limbs down onto one of the tall barstools; her stare immense as she ushered a drink your way.
- "Try this one." She insisted excitedly, her crimped blue strands flying around in all directions as she spoke. "It's so fucking good, I promise!"
- "Alright, okay." You replied instantly, with a apparent forced chuckle - as you brought the zingy orange mixture to your lips.
- "OH, christ-" You cut yourself off, your eyes scrunching shut and lips poised as the insane sourness of the luminous beverage tingled on your tongue.
- "That's fucking gross!" You spat, amongst your hysteric laughter that becca quickly joined in on as she shook you at the shoulders with purpose.
- "I know, I know." She managed to shoot out, somewhere in between the unstoppable giggles that bubbled from the pit of her stomach. "I tricked you, real bad."
- "I seriously hate you, dude." You joked harshly, shoving her at the arm before taking the disgusting cocktail back into your grasp.
- "Hey Hayles, try this!" You shouted frantically behind you, expecting to find the platinum blonde sitting close by.
- although she wasn't.
- all you got was a truly bewildered dark haired man yelling "Who?!" directly into your permanently shocked face.
- which wasn't very pleasant at all.
- it was in that moment, where you felt your body essentially fall away.
- the constant thud of loud music that had once filled your ears, immediately became an insistent ringing as your head began to spin rapidly in panic.
- the crowds were just too much.
- you couldn't see where they ended or even began and that was what always caused you to freak out in environments like this.
- that was what always triggered you, the sense of being trapped, hemmed in.
- you hated claustrophobic spaces, and you just had find a way out.
- "Y/N, wait!" You heard incoherent voices suddenly call after you, as you ultimately decided to bolt from the hotel.
- your pulse pumping like never before and chest tightening to the point where you found yourself gasping for breath.
•
- after a solid few minutes of powering through the endless ocean of humans, you found yourself back outside.
- the familiar sensation of the crisp nighttime air comforting, as you sucked in an extremely shaky breath.
- "Shit, shit, shit." You cursed repeatedly, the brief mutter slipping out - as you sat down on the edge of the sidewalk.
- forcing your wired eyes to focus, as you wrapped your knuckles forcefully around your jittering knees.
- "Why am I like this?!" You screeched aloud, bashing your fists against your bounding head as you cried - tears beginning to stream down your reddened cheeks.
- "Whoa, whoa!" You then heard a gentle yet overly concerned tone circulate your form, as a soft palm ran up and down your spine.
- "Hey," You caught the subtle movements of hayley's delicate lips from the corner of your right eye, her body soon kelt down next to yours. "What's going on?"
- "I-I, it's too fucking warm." You stuttered out, unable to even begin to comprehend how you were going to explain this to her.
- "Let me help." She insisted kindly, aiding you to remove the jacket you all but ripped from your burdened shoulders.
- "Y/N, honey. Look at me." Hayley brought her fingertips to your tensed jaw, she was now directly in front of you.
- however, despite her overwhelming presence you still couldn't calm yourself.
- "It's the crowds, H." You panted breathlessly, your pupils left with no choice but to melt into hers as she held your face in her hands.
- "They're too much, it's so fucking loud and I just felt trapped." You attempted to make her understand, your emotions raw and actions still totally unpredictable.
- "It's alright, you're okay." Hayley soothed you with the utmost care, her arms wrapping themselves protectively around you as your head fell to her collarbone. "I got you."
- "Breath with me, yeah?" She coaxed you into complying cautiously, as you felt your eyelids flutter shut - her fingers tracing patterns all along your back.
- "Feel the rise and fall of my chest." She encouraged softly, as she peppered small kisses along your hairline.
- "Listen to the motion." She carried on with purpose, as she tightened her grip around your quivering limbs - that were slowly but surely beginning to unwind.
- "In and out." She described the process for you to replicate, and all you could feel was her. "Then again, in and out."
- her regulated breaths exhaling into your ruffled hair, as her hands continued on with their techniques of relaxation.
- her angelic voice whispering sweet nothings into your ear, in an attempt to bring your back to your happy place.
- "Repeat after me, okay?" She continued on determinedly, she was completely and utterly dedicated to helping your through this moment of fright. "In and out."
- "In and out." You breathed heavily, with deep exhale - drawing all your attention in on hayley and her words, until things began to feel more like normal again.
- "There you go, you got it." You sensed the blonde smile above you, before you caught her shiny green eyes and shared that moment.
- "How about you tell me, something that you can hear?" She prompted further, with a raised eyebrow - it was her mission to be able to ground you as much as possible.
- "The traffic." You answered simply, hearing hayley hum approvingly as she began to run her fingers through your hair.
- "Something you can smell?" She suggested, with a small quirk from her lips - that quickly turned into a full on smirk.
- "Weirdly," You laughed lowly, watching as the woman's face before you began to beam brightly. "Chinese food?"
- "Fuck, stop it." She chuckled a little, her gorgeous giggles continuous as pressed a tiny peck to your cheekbone. "Now I'm hungry."
- "Then, something you can see?" She then finished, observing your mannerisms with intent as you thought for a second.
- "Your beautiful, pretty lips." You teased her unexpectedly, the compliment taking her off guard as her eyes widened inquisitively.
- "Oh yeah?" She queried seductively, whispering as she leaned in closer - her nose unintentionally bumping against yours.
- "You can kiss them if you like." She practically purred, which provided you with the driving incentive to connect your lips in a generous kiss.
- "You okay?" Hayley let out in a sigh, as she pulled away slowly - popping herself down next to you on the sidewalk.
- "Yeah, I..." You shook your head repeatedly, slightly embarrassed - as you rubbed the back of your neck with your hand. "I'm sorry, that was probably kind of awkward."
- "What? No." Hayley shot that assumption down, encouraging you back round to look at her as you purposefully averted your gaze.
- "Why would you say that?" She questioned curiously, her perfectly-plucked brows frowning downwards while she awaited your response - as her thumb rubbed at your thigh.
- "I don't know, I mean..." You flicked your pupils back towards hayley briefly - letting out a reluctant puff of air before carrying on. "...you're basically my boss."
- "I think I'm more than just your boss," She scoffed with a small chuckle, as she tucked a few blonde strands behind her ear. "aren't I?"
- "Of course, you are." You reassured her immediately, taking both of her hands in your own - upon realising that she might've taken your statement the wrong way.
- "What do you mean then?" She ushered you onward, as she wore a soft smile - squeezing your skin sweetly, it was clear she just wanted to try and understand.
- "I thought you'd maybe find it weird, to see me freaking out like that." You couldn't help gushing, unable to stop the inevitable waterfall as your insecurities came flying out into the open at an insane force.
- "I didn't want you to see all the imperfect parts of me just yet." You added all of a sudden, entirely bearing your soul to the lady that held you in her arms - nodding her head along, as you explained your reasoning.
- "In all fairness, I was mostly afraid that you wouldn't like me anymore or something." You let your sentence bubble out through disjointed breaths, unable to believe how ridiculously dumb that sounded aloud.
- "I know, I'm sorry it's stupid." You stammered, your self confidence prepared and quick to plummet - until hayley's voice soon stopped you from falling.
- "Hey, listen to me." She started simply, dusting off your jacket as she picked it up from the concrete - before carefully draping it over your shoulders.
- "None of what you just said is stupid to me." She booped your chilly nose with her index finger playfully, causing you to giggle and she smiled - her purpose achieved.
- "But, I want you to know one thing..." She trailed off intentionally, waiting for you to prompt her on further.
- "What?" You asked shortly after, with a smirk painting itself promptly across your lips - as you cupped hayley's left cheek in your palm.
- "I'm serious about you, alright?" She confessed so sincerely, that you were almost certain that you could see the genuine truth which lingered behind her eyes.
- "This isn't just a one off thing for me." She reiterated with passion, her stare becoming more intense by the second. "I want to be there for you, always."
- "In your happiest moments," She expressed her underlying desire, as a singular tear trickled down her cheek - which you were swift to catch with your thumb. "to the ones like this, that make you feel petrified."
- "You don't have to hide from me anymore."
- "In that case then," You found yourself preparing to present a huge proposal - one in which you hoped hayley would agree to. "there's something I've been wanting to ask you for a while now."
- "Mhmm, go on." The platinum blonde encouraged, and by the ecstatic look on her face - she probably already knew what you were going to ask.
- "Hayley, will you be my girlfriend?" You shot out the long-awaited question, witnessing hayley squeal immediately; stopping her heavy heeled boots against the concrete, as she covered your face with kisses.
- "I'm assuming that's a yes then?" You double checked - amongst a flurry of giggles, desperately wanting verbal that confirmation.
- "What does it look like, dumbass?" Hayley mocked mischievously, as she wrapped you up in her embrace - completely and utterly overjoyed at the leap in your relationship.
- "I need to hear you say it though." You stated cheekily; placing your thumb and index finger at your chin seriously, to emphasise that her physical reaction just wasn't enough.
- "Yes, yes fucking yes." She nodded her head bashfully, as you cheered happily - pressing your lips to hayley's briefly, before she broke for breath.
- "I'd love nothing more than to be your girlfriend, Y/N." Hayley gave you the answer you'd been waiting to hear for ages - which was like music to your ears.
- "Amazing." You mumbled into her mouth, as she kissed you passionately once again; the pair of you seriously couldn't keep your hands off each other. "Totally amazing."
- "Does that mean we're official then?" Hayley questioned shyly, unable to quite believe the words that flew from her lips.
- "I think it does, baby." You agreed lowly, holding hayley tight - as the two of you cherished the moment, your eyes mesmerised by the sparkling night sky.
- "What now then?" Hayley soon broke the silence, glancing down at your briefly as she spoke. "Cause my ass is numb from sitting on this sidewalk."
- "Take me home." You suggested with a little laugh, as you helped your girlfriend back up onto her feet again.
- "Deal." She said plainly, stumbling a little upon realising that she wouldn't be able to walk very far in such chunky shoes.
- "Careful there, Mrs." You joked sweetly, catching hayley's petite form as it tumbled into your secure hold.
- "Only if you're gonna carry me over to the cab though." She confirmed with a loud belly laugh, which caused your heart to flutter like crazy. "Cause there's no way I can walk on these fucking stilts anymore."
- "You got it." You accepted her limitations, scooping her up into arms contently - making your way down the street, in search of a ride back home.
- "Ugh, that's so much better." You heard hayley let out in a lengthy sigh, as she stretched out her limbs - her arms clinging around your neck perfectly.
- "Don't worry princess," You assured her sarcastically, and hayley quirked an eyebrow at your choice of words - before popping a peck to
your temple. "Your chariot awaits."
- "You're the damn cutest, you know that?" She pinched your cheeks playfully, as you proceeded to swing open the back door of a nearby cab.
- you set hayley down first, allowing her to shuffle over - giving you enough space, before you slipped in soon after.
- "Not as cute as you." You whispered delicately into her ear, as she attempted to give clear directions to the driver.
- "Agree to disagree?" She suggested lowly, as the cab began to pull away from the beverly hotel with haste.
- "Nah, I've got enough time to prove it." You stated with an overriding confidence, as hayley leaned into your lips all over again.
- "We've got all the time in the world now, my sweet." She smiled widely, before kissing you firmly to emphasise her sentence.
- "Don't we just." You replied in full agreement, deepened the kiss as the pair of you relished in the pure bliss of the moment.
- now, hayley wasn't just your boss - she was something so much greater.
- she was officially your girlfriend, and you just couldn't think of anything better.——————
