- - 😡 - -
- united laughter towered over the pounding music, that bounced from wall to wall.
- you could barely hear yourself think, it was so loud.
- but that was probably because you were stood right next to the speaker.
- you swirled around the small amount of beer at the bottom of the bottle in your grasp.
- necking the last mouthful, as your laughter bubbled over.
- meeting eyes with the woman in front of you, she smiled widely; her blue eyes sparkling obviously due to her current tipsy state.
- you couldn't believe you'd bumped into one of your old high school friends at lindsey's party.
- who knew laura would have gotten into photography?!
- you must have spent an hour catching up with her.
- after years without seeing each other, there was so much to talk about.
- laura gestured for you to move closer, cupping her hands around your ear to speak; so that you could hear her more clearly.
- 'Who are you here with, anyways?' She asked, smirking a little as she pulled away.
- dragging her hand through her long brown locks.
- 'I'm here with my girlfriend, Hayley!' You shouted over the thudding beat. 'She's great friends with Lindsey, has been for years!'
- laura nodded repeatedly, taking in your response.
- you were rather drunk, so slightly disorientated to say the least.
- but you soon clicked onto exactly what was happening when laura brushed her fingertips against the inside of your palm.
- 'Let me get you another drink?' She exhaled against your ear again, taking your hand into her own.
- that was the point when you immediately pulled away, distancing yourself from her.
- 'You know, I'm good really! I better go look for her-' You rushed out your words, pronouncing them so fast that they seemed to all blend into one.
- laura scoffed, raising her eyebrows at you; as if to question where you were going.
- 'Hayley, my girlfriend-' You confirmed, backing away hastily, 'I gotta go, sorry Laura.'
- with that, you burst out of the kitchen.
- disposing of your empty beer bottle and picking up two fresh drinks on the search for hayley.

- after a few stumbling steps and awful blurring vision, you managed to find her.
- she was sat amongst a few of lindsey's close friends, but didn't seem to be part of their on-going conversation.
- 'Hey babe,' You greeted her, planting a kiss to her cheek as you approached from behind.
- 'I got you a drink.' You said, holding out the beverage that she refused to accept.
- that's when you saw her face, she wouldn't even look at you.
- her brows were frowned, which meant she was either upset, angry or both.
- 'Nice of you to acknowledge me for the first time all night, Y/N.' She snapped, jolting up from her seat and flinging her tote bag over her shoulder frustratedly.
- 'I haven't? No? Baby, just wait!' You called out after her, grabbing hold of her arm as she attempted to make a break for the front door.
- 'What?! So, you're trying to tell me that you haven't just spent the past hour flirting with some random girl?!' Hayley practically yelled, tears beginning to pool in her eyes.
- 'What the fucks' that supposed to mean?!' You retorted, placing the drinks in your grasp onto a nearby dresser as you trekked after hayley.
'I'm gettin' outta of here, it's too fucking loud.' Hayley stated, furiously; exiting the door and practically slamming it in your face.

- taking steps out onto the porch, you felt the cool night time air delicately tickling at your ankles.
- as you spotted hayley, sitting on a wooden bench; her expression remaining dormant and simply unreadable.
- you witnessed her limbs shiver from the bitterness of the breeze.
- as you made your way over to her side, your pace was noticeably unsteady.
- 'Hey, just let me.' You exhaled lowly, taking off your own jacket to wrap it around hayley's shoulders.
- she accepted your kind gesture, sighing out deeply before she spoke.
- 'You're drunk, Y/N.' She stated, turning her head swiftly to look into your eyes.
'I'm not drunk!' You bluffed, a blatantly obvious lie.
- 'I beg to differ!' Hayley gasped mockingly, shuffling her body further away from you; whilst wrapping your jacket further around her chest.
'Okay, maybe a little drunk... or pretty drunk, whatever.' You practically word vomited, moving closer to her once again.
- her eyes rolling automatically, knowing that you weren't going to stop talking any time soon.
- 'Can you just let me explain, please?' You asked sincerely, placing a hand down on hayley's knee and stroking it gently.

- hayley slowly began to warm up, little by little as you throughly explained the situation.
- her hand gradually moving closer to your own, until the point where she was holding it completely.
- 'I never intended to make you feel this way,' You confessed, honestly. 'I never want to hurt you, or your feelings like this again. You mean the absolute world to me, Hayles.'
- 'I'm sorry.' You whispered genuinely, exhaling in relief as hayley opened her arms to you.
- you rested your head firmly against her chest, pressing a kiss to her collarbone.
- 'It's okay, Y/N. I believe you.' She confirmed softly, running her fingertips through your hair.
- 'Situations like that just make me freak, I don't think; I just jump to conclusions. Cause' the thought of loosing you fuckin' terrifies me.' Hayley admitted, locking eyes with you briefly before pulling you up for a tender kiss.
'You're not going to loose me,' You breathed, between each small kiss. 'you've got me for good.'
- 'I think we should go home.' She smiled, damn you'd never been more grateful to see that gorgeous grin.
- you nodded your head in agreement, before snuggling back up to her for one more cuddle.
'Ditto!'

PLEASE READ;
How do we feel about angsty Hayley?
This book is usually a lot more lovey dovey but I do enjoy writing stories like this too.
Somethin' a little different I guess.
🖤
So, I do hope you all enjoyed it.
This was the chapter I originally planned to post this week & wanted to get it up for you all.

I do wanna take this opportunity to express, how grateful I am for the requests I received on my previous author's note.
😊 And, those requests will now be prioritised over my own ideas! 😊
My usual upload schedule for this book is a new chapter every two weeks, but the imagine ideas I received from the few who commented have really inspired me and I have solid story plots for each one.
I do want to take my time to ensure I produce my best work, to do your requests justice!
But I am going to try, to write and upload them as soon as I can.
💓
I'll be doing the imagines in order of request, so it's first come, first served.

✯ Until then, all the love always
