There was a lot for you to live up to. Being Tony Stark's son meant ... your life wasn't exactly normal. There had been many close calls on his life and on yours. But your dad had been by your side for as long as you could remember.

And then, of course, you met Peter Parker.

It was inevitable meeting Parker. He was Spider-Man, helped out with the civil war between Tony and Steve; he even interned with Stark Industries. You hadn't seen much of him, but when you did, you found yourself ... enamoured with him.

"You're being ridiculous,"

"Shut up, Dad,"

Yeah, maybe you were a little bit in love with him. Just a little. Or a little lot, in your father's words of choice.

It was just hard to try and be friends with him when you wanted to kiss him spidey-senseless.

But he was not interested in boys. So that was a huge downside.

Peter Parker was hopelessly in love with Y/N.

Why did he have to be such a damn genius? His mind was beyond amazing. He was pretty good looking too, which Peter knew complemented Y/N perfectly. God, Peter couldn't believe he was Y/N's friend.

"You're pining," Aunt May commented. She mentioned that at least once a day. He tried not to think about it. There was no way Y/N liked dudes.

"I'm not," he said, though he knew May didn't believe it for a second. He didn't really expect her to believe him.

She did change the subject though. "Aren't you supposed to go to Stark Industries soon?"

Peter nodded, getting his bag. "I'll be back by nine-ish,"

Aunt May nodded, smiling at him. "Be safe."

"He's already there, right?"

"Right,"

"I'll make sure the other one doesn't go wandering off when."

"Good. Those idiots need to stop pining."

You were sitting at a computer, science equations at an Einstein level on the screen. Honestly? Boring. Making an AI? Even better.

"O-oh, hey!" You looked around and saw Peter there. His cheeks were rosy and he looked taken by surprise. "I didn't know you'd be here,"

"Uh, well I do live either here,"

Peter smiled and then moved to sit beside you. "The answer is five," he said, taking you by surprise. He pointed to the answer where you'd put four.

"I was close enough. Besides, this shit is boring; I have a short attention span for this kind of thing."

"What do you have a long attention span for?"

"You," you said without thinking. The shock in your system was mirrored in Peter's face.

He smiled a second after. "I could say the same,"

"Only could?"

"I do," he said. "Wait - do you mean it like I do?"

"Pete, lemme tell you something: I'm not straight."

Which seemed enough for Peter to lean forwards and kiss you. It was a bit imperfect, a little messy and what an awkward first kiss with someone feels like.

Honestly? You wouldn't change any aspect of it.

"They're cute,"

"Why are you watching?"

"I want to make sure our boys aren't being stupid."

"That just makes you sound weird. Let them have this moment. Privately."

"Yes, ma'am."
