Under the cherry tree| Bakugo

"Why the fuck do I even have to be here?", he was annoyed as he groaned loudly, indicating just how much he didn't want to be there, because right now, his friends had dragged him outside to watch the cherry blossoms. No, seriously, why was he there? That was a thing only couples did or people who haven't seen this yet, but he didn't need to be here, he was 25 years, he, by now, knew how the park looked in full bloom, to be honest, this just made him depressed, looking at all the couples. Shit, he could be one of them if it wasn't for the billions of kilometers separating you two (he was exaggerating, but it felt to him like it).

"Okay, just calm down, enjoy the scenery, would you? It's gotten very rare for us to meet outside of work, bro, so just be happy. We even have chairs so we're not sitting on the hard ground, isn't this nice? Tomorrow we are back on duty and life gets hectic again, enjoy the calmness for once.", Kirishima really tried cheering him up, but the death glare he sent his way showed that Katsuki was having none of this mushy shit, sitting under a cherry tree, getting those shitty blossoms all over the place and then those giggling couples - they could burn in hell.

"Besides, maybe something good will happen today, Bakugou!", Mina gleefully cheered, though got elbowed by Kaminari, hushing her, because her excitement was a little too obvious, they didn't want her to ruin the surprise. "Yeah right, tch!", he grabbed his phone, you hadn't responded to him, it was almost 24 hours since the last message and he got a little annoyed and maybe worried, "There is only one thing on this fucking earth that could cheer me up and that's not happening in a billion years.", though he just mumbled it into his non-existing beard.

They looked at each other, a little grin on their faces, because they knew, the thing that wouldn't happen in a billion years was going to play in front of their eyes very soon.

"Can I go now for fuck's sake?", he was getting impatient, though this time Sero tried calming him down and then, Ashido got a glimpse of you and if it wasn't for Kaminari using his quirk on her to stop her squealing in excitement, everything would have been for nothing, but thankfully it was enough to draw Bakugou's and the rest of the squad's attention to those two. "You're like a fucking little ki- WHICH FUCKING ASSHOLE WANTS TO FUCKING DIE RIGHT HERE ON THE SPOT, HAH?!", he started with an annoyed tone in his voice, but suddenly, he only saw in the corner of his eyes something approaching, before you had already covered his eyes with your hands, thus making him, quite literally, explode as smoke was coming from his hands.

"Really? I'm traveling so many kilometers just to see you and then you want to kill me? Ouch. I'm hurt, Babe.", you snickered and his body flinched visibly as he had heard you talking, your voice sending a shiver down his spine, before he grabbed your hands and pulled them down, just so he could turn around on his chair immediately, looking up and meeting your eyes, the grin on your lips almost making him blush a little.

"Surprise, Katsuki!", you said in your first language, grinning so damn happily and finally, he could react and move his body, his sudden movement making the chair fall over and to the ground as he was already wrapping his arms around your neck, making you giggle happily as you stumbled back a little, your own arms finding their way around his body instantly.

Hugging each other tightly, you rubbed soothing circles on his back as the squad was already filming it, of course they did, Kirishima even hid it in his bag so he could film Bakugou's initial reaction, but you didn't care and Katsuki also didn't care (for now at least), he was extremely happy and overwhelmed, never in a million years would he have thought he would see you, in person, today and when he pulled a little away to look at you again, his crimson eyes were shimmering as they were filled with tears of joy, however, you didn't look much different, you really had to control yourself to not burst into tears out of pure joy to see and touch him again - it had been months since you both were able to meet in person.

And then, finally, you connected your lips with his, after so many months of waiting and only seeing each other through a screen, he could finally feel your soft lips again and your body pressing against his, his own shaking a little because of the excitement.

"I love you, Katsuki.", you whispered against his lips, inevitably you couldn't hold your own feelings back, your heart almost jumping out of your chest as you showered him in sweet little kisses, however, Bakugou wasn't feeling much differently, even if he tried so hard hiding everything all the time, how lonely he could get, how much he was yearning for you on some days, right now, he returned every little one of your kisses, his heart thumping so wildly behind his rib cage, mumbling an "I love you" back as he didn't care about his giggling friends behind him, only holding on to you tighter as he didn't want to let you go.

There were a lot of questions on his mind, though for now, he just didn't care, you probably weren't going to be with him for more than a few days, so he had to really enjoy every little second he could spend with you, not wanting to think about how you had to part eventually.

So, in the end...maybe cherry trees weren't so bad after all...
