1. Jughead is in a constant state of tiredness.

He doesn’t get enough sleep when he’s writing chapters of his mystery book on Riverdale, surely now that he’s part of the Serpents, he gets, even more, less sleep. It’s not like he doesn’t like sleeping, he loves sleeping.

But, it’s hard to fall asleep when he has a pull out bed from a couch to sleep on. The mattress isn’t even comfortable, he could feel the springs in the mattress.

So, when he was living with Archie, the blow-up mattress was ten times better than the couch or sleeping on the floor. However, what takes the number one spot is your bed.

You weren’t exclusive yet, in fact, you hadn’t had the “what are we?” talk with him. You were in the fine lines between friends and boyfriends. You were both still tiptoeing around the feelings, afraid to be rejected, afraid of losing a friendship that was made when you guys were so young.

You known him since you were little, you had visited his home and played in his backyard when you two were kids. Jughead was comfortable being around your family, sleeping over. You two were childhood friends, just like you are with Betty and Archie. But, something was different from your relationship with Betty and Archie to your relationship with Jughead.

Your family could tell, nudging you, keeping eyes whenever Jughead came around to hang out as you grew up. You couldn’t understand what they were insinuating at first until you were in high school.

“There’s nothing more than best friends, mom!” You exclaimed one dinner as your siblings scoffed and your mom grinning.

“Oh, bud, you just don’t see it yet,” Your dad chuckles, cutting his food, “You two are going to be childhood sweethearts.”

Which is why it was hard to explain to your parents why Jughead had fallen asleep on top of you. You weren’t exclusively dating, but yes, there is something potential.

Sitting up, your back against the headboard as you held a game controller in your hand, your eyes fixated on the television in your bedroom whilst Jughead was asleep, his head resting on your stomach whilst his arms were wrapped protectively around your waist.

“It’s not what it looks like.”

Your mother and father scoff, narrowing their eyes, wigging their eyebrows at you as you shake your head.

“No, it’s not-” You stammered, “He hasn’t been getting enough sleep, he just fell asleep!”

“Mhm, you’re enjoying it, hun,” you mother hums out.

You don’t deny it.

2. Archie and Betty were becoming suspicious.

You’ve somewhat made it official with Jughead, you finally get to call yourselves boyfriends, lovers, significant others in their life.

Truth be told, it’s nice to be with someone, it’s nice to be loved.

Jughead had started to open more to you, in love with you. Smitten, to say the least. He finds it comfortable being in your presences, you don’t judge his background, you don’t judge his dad, despite FP’s up and downs, you loved FP like your own dad, for that Jughead loves you even more.
