Thunderstorm (☁️)

Shuichi was still at work while a big thunderstorm was going on. Not a lot of people knew but Kokichi was extremely terrified of thunder and was home alone. He was panicking and just wanted Shuichi home. He knew that Shuichi still had an hour left at work. He thought that maybe if he went to his and Shuichi's room, he could sleep through it.

(Kokichi's POV)
"I-I..just need to walk upstairs an-." Thunder struck and cut him off.
"AH!" He jumped and fell onto the floor. He continued to shake more and begins to cry. It takes him a couple moments to regain himself and runs upstairs to their room.
He gets under the covers and thunder strikes again and he continuously sobs. He really wants to be in Shuichi's arms.
"I-I'm...gonna call S-Shuichi.."
He takes out his phone from his front sweatshirt pocket and calls Shuichi. It takes him a bit to answer but eventually does.

(Shuichi's POV)
He mumbles to himself
"Hm?..why is Kokichi calling me right now? He knows I'm at work." He hears thunder but doesn't think much of it and answers. As soon as he answers he knew why he called. He hears Ouma sobbing over the phone and remembers that he is afraid of this type of weather. He starts to talk in a calming voice.
"Hey...everything will be okay...I'll come home now. I'll be there in 15 minutes. Just stay calm and I'll be there soon...okay?"
"Y-yeah..AHH!" Thunder hits again and he screams and shakes and sobs more. "P-please..h-hurry up."
"Alright I'm coming now. I love you. Be safe" he says to Kokichi trying to calm him down more. He waits for Kokichi's reply and hangs up.
Shuichi runs to his boss
"HEY SOMETHING CAME UP. GOTTA GO. BYE!" Then he starts running to his car. He gets soaking wet running through the rough rain and hops into his car and hurry's home. He thought that if he went any faster he would get in legal trouble. He got to their house in 10 minutes and runs inside. He doesn't see Kokichi and starts yelling for him but in a calming type tone.
"Kokichi..! Where are you..?" He starts walking around and eventually knocks on their bedroom door. He hears Ouma's sobs through the door and gently walks in. He doesn't fully see Kokichi at first but sees the shaking of the sheets and hears the crying from underneath the covers. He slowly and gently walks over and hugs him over his blanket. Suddenly he stops crying and shaking and comes out from under the covers and hugs Shuichi very tightly. Shuichi takes him out of bed and gets a new pair of more comfortable clothes for the both of them. He changes Kokichi first then himself and takes him back to bed with him. Kokichi puts his head onto Shuichi's chest and cuddles him again, closing his eyes. Shuichi smiles and kisses Kokichi on the top of his head and pets him until he falls asleep.
He whispers "I'm sorry I wasn't here sooner. It's my fault" he stops smiling and looks at Kokichi then back at the wall.
"...it wasn't your fault. Don't blame yourself.." Kokichi says. He thought he was asleep but apparently was not.
"If I was here sooner and looked ahead of time and didn't go to work, you wouldn't have been panicking and crying..." he looks back at Kokichi. All Kokichi does is give and gently and soft kiss on Shuichi's lips and goes back to sleep. Shuichi knows that he can't change what happens and smiles again. Eventually going to sleep with him and they both sleep through the entire night.
