Faye:
With a bright smile I walk towards Dylan's house and past his garden before ringing the doorbell. I guess it's fair to say that I'm ridiculously excited and nervous. My previous relationship was, well, let's just say not the best one and after that I hadn't really met with guys and if I had met with one, they'd been weird. But Dylan seems nice, he seems to have an honest nature.
I exhale as he opens the door, exclaiming a happy "Hello!"
"Hello." he replies back, making a gesture to the living room. "Come in."
I do what he said, looking around impressed. Now that's what you call a flat! It's obvious that he's a singer, a lot of music stuff is standing around here and there - a piano in the middle of the room, just as he told and I can't help but grin at this. "It looks fantastic, what a nice flat you own there."
"Sorry, it's a bit chaotic here. You're not the only one I make a song with." Dylan explains instead.
"Oh, that's no problem." I say. "It's nice. I really like the fact that it's obvious that you make music. And I like that your flat isn't overly tidy."
"Glad to hear that you like it. Now take a seat, it's weird to let you just stand around here." he says, offering me a chair while my cheeks are blushing quite obvious. "You look great. I mean, you obviously always do; in fact you're the prettiest in the band. Oh wow, did I really just said that?" he says, glancing at me.
"Yes you really said that and I must say: thank you, that's sweet. But you look very nice too." I reply back. And that's no lie, he decided to wear something very simple and I almost find it inappropriate that I decided on this glamorous dress. I don't want to seem like wanting to show the money the band owns.
"Thanks." Dylan answers with a grin.
"I hope it's not seeming odd to you that I'm wearing this luxurious dress, it was just an idea because, well, it seemed like a good idea but seeing how simple, and attractive, your outfit is-" I interrupt myself, realising that I was, again, just talking nonsense. "Sorry if I seem weird to you, I'm just nervous." I explain.
"Don't mind about that, I'm also nervous. I mean - I'm dating a member of Steps! How cool is that!"
"Yeah, you do." I reply shyly, not quite knowing what to respond. Am I really just a 'member of Steps' to him, someone he creates a song with and wants to be in the charts with - or does he actually like me? But on the other hand, he really just said 'dating' as in dating someone you're in a relationship with? I assume he did. Maybe I should stop being so doubtful. Just because my ex was an idiot it doesn't mean that everyone is like this. If I look at Lisa's relationship with Johnny, it really makes me believe that there are nice and lovely guys out there. Like, Lisa and Johnny are talking about marriage! This is so sweet. "So tell me, would you like to do more songs with us?" I decide to ask to interrupt my own thoughts. That seems like a good question to start a conversation between people who are equally nervous about, apparently, dating each other.
"I don't know, honestly. At the moment, I'm pretty busy and I guess you're all busy too?" Dylan asks while he creates a drink for us, putting mine down on the table while holding his glass in his hands as if he doesn't know how to avoid silence between us. His behaviour is really similar to mine. Maybe that's why we get along so easily.
"Well, yes we really are busy too. Even if we don't travel for filming our videos at the moment, but there are a lot of concerts and tv appearances and also interviews." I shrug at my own explanation. "But at least there's time for us to meet."
Admittedly, that was very flirty. Let's just hope he doesn't mind sentences like these.
"I'm happy about that too. So you knew straight away that you like me?" he grins, sipping on his champagne.
