Faye:
It's been quite a while since the band splitted.
Since then, we didn't really saw each other or talked, despite meeting at an event a while back. That was pretty weird; meeting Lisa and Lee and acting as if we would share proper talks. H and Claire were there too but we only shared a few looks. It was simply weird but we definitely didn't fancied to talk to them.
Most recently, Travis was released from prison. I obviously knew that he's going to be released now but it still made me go back into a shell, his actions from back then playing in my mind immediately. He wants to move to America to make music again but without his former bandmates. As for the both of them, they kept publishing albums and are relatively liked. I'm happy for them for certain, knowing they said they ban Travis from the band because of what he did. As for Travis himself, his interview was written in a magazine about celebrities and shortly after journalists were coming to me while at rehearsals and wanted to ask plenty of questions about him, about our relationship and all. And that was when I slowly started to go back in a shell again. I'm already shy enough, basically without confidence and wanting people to insult me, so I decided on just keeping quiet.
But back to now. I'm in the theatre again, about to prepare for the newest stage production I was offered to take part in. Walking past the seats for the audience now, I spot someone sitting on a seat near the stage. Whoever that is, he should now that the play didn't premiered yet. But as that person now looks around, I immediately recognise who it is.
Pete. And by that I mean that Pete who formed Steps. What does he want here? "Hello." he greets me, stretching out his hand. I gesture with my hands, greeting him too. Honestly, that must look totally odd because he immediately continues to talk. "I want to talk to you. Would you like to sit down, so we can can talk properly?" he asks, smiling.
"What do you want here?" I ask upon sitting down, ignoring his smile.
"Talking." he answers. "Well. I will say it straight away, there's a tv crew that wants to produce a show where they would like to reunite Steps. And I agreed. I want to reunite the band."
"That's a joke." I burst out. Reuniting the band? That won't work. Shortly before the band splitted, all we did was arguing. There was nothing else but tension between us. How should a reunion, that'll be showed on tv, work?
"It's not. And I actually think it's a great idea. You guys were so talented, you still are. I watched you all singing or acting. Did you know that H and Claire published songs together?"
"Yes but their duet splitted again, didn't it?" I interrupt him, fully knowing how rude that sounds. He must think of me exactly what journalists wrote about me: how does the girl from Steps behaves now? 'She's inappropriate.' I recall what a journalist said.
"Did you ever talked to each other after the split?" he asks.
"We once met at an event but except for greeting each other and a short conversation, we weren't talking at all." I explain. "How do you even imagine that reunion? Getting us to sit together and talk about our band?"
"Basically, yes."
"That won't work. We'll argue. Do you remember how we were shouting at each other all together while at our latest concerts? How you shouted back?"
"Yes, know." he answers.
"Do you really think it's good to reunite the band when we probably will argue like back then?"
"What do you think? A band reunion would be a great idea, don't you think?" he asks and I sigh at his words. Band reunions aren't always easy. Especially if bands splitted among tensions like we did. Pete seems convinced about the reunion, seeming like he wants us to reunite and do new songs. "I heard you're quite good at these stage productions." he adds.
