Faye:
A bit time passed now since Travis was arrested and the others are still incredible supportive, just like my parents are. Fortunately, we're focusing on rehearsals now - or let's say, we plan to do so. We still can't attend the dance studio at the moment and our choreography for Abbamania was changed as well - and all because of these stupid injuries. Of course everyone said that it's understandable that I currently am not able to dance when suffering fractured ribs, and yet I wonder why they're not telling me off, why they're not angry when they surely must be so disappointed! Even if the band's constantly assuring me that I should take my time for the injuries to get better before rehearsing again. Nevertheless, we're in the recording studio at the moment to at least practice our songs. Pete is off for a talk with our crew, wanting to talk about the performance at Abbamania. He previously told us that it was planned to change the performance slightly; meaning the others should dance while I should simply stand still on my place. That looked weird and it was decided that we should simply include no choreography at all in the songs we're performing without the other bands. Back to the subject, that's why we're now in the studio to practice these certain songs - and our new song.
"How about rehearsing the song without the music again?" Claire asks, waving to make us listen to her.
"Sounds good, let's try." Lee says, turning off the music. We start singing, not knowing our lines perfectly, but at least it doesn't sound weird. The song is itself is actually great, we all really like it and we also can still rehearse it as it won't be released yet - but we always want to improve or let's say, we want to impress our producer. It shouldn't seem like we're not rehearsing enough, especially now that we found our place in the music industry. But as for the song, it's actually one of my favourites - and so, it's such an honor that Pete decided that I should start singing.
"Okay, how about singing without the music but practicing outside of the studio?" Claire asks with a slight grin, knowing that we would like this offer. "What do you think? It's such a beautiful day full of sunshine after all."
"Sounds great!" Lisa smiles. "What do you think, Faye?" she asks with a questioning glance. Well, what do I think? I barely was paying attention to their words, too lost in my own thoughts about basically nothing. So I simply agree as we walk out of the studio together, sitting down on a bench while looking at the text with neither of us seeming motivated to practice now. There's this weird silence again in which we don't know what to say, like back then when we argued. I'm not even listening to their words, being quite in a shell of own thoughts. "That's great, don't you think?"
I shrug upon hearing Lisa asking this question. "What's great?"
"Going to celebrate with the other bands after Abbamania. They asked the others when they were off for the band meeting. You know, when I stayed at your house, remember? They said there's a bar near the arena where we're performing, we could dance a bit." she answers with an encouraging smile.
"Lovely." I reply, while looking down at our notes. "But let's just sing now, please."
Obviously my behaviour must disappoint them too and it really shouldn't be like it - but it just is like this at the moment. They accept it but there's clear disappointment in their eyes. After a while of rehearsing the song, obviously without the melody just as we planned, we put our stuff aside, satisfied with how the rehearsals went. And while H and Claire are in a conversation about our song or something like that, I decide to go back into a shell, back to my own thoughts, barely listening to what the others are saying while playing with my plaits thoughtfully. They must hate me, it echoes in my mind. They must hate me for being such a disappointment to the band.
But these thoughts are interrupted when Claire announces that we should go back to rehearse properly now. "Let's go now." she says, her hands taking mine. "We should rehearse with the music again. Faye, come on please."
