Faye:
So what should I say? Our new album made it really far in the charts, it wasn't at the top but we were, or still are, just incredible proud of us. Reading the critism in the magazines proved it that we made a good job with the songs and when we performed at a show, people were singing along just like back then. It was incredible. Even when we were performing at this breakfast show, the audience and guests had heered to us with such a fascination that it was actually just amazing.
But what followed then was even more amazing. We were asked to perform our song 'Scared of the Dark' at my literal favourite tv show. Strictly Come Dancing. We're going to perform at freaking Strictly! When Pete told us about it, I literally fell down my chair from excitement.
Today finally is the day where we're at the show. I'm so excited that I barely had slept, I couldn't even eat anything today from excitement and I already managed to embarrass myself because I walked against the door of the studio when we walked in. Gladly no one except the band and a security guard saw it.
As soon as we walk into the studio and the backstage area, mile purely and full of happiness. The studio looks amazing, it's already designed for the show and its special today and even a few dancers walk past us. They look just as excited as we do even though, in contrast to us, they're probably nervous about being eliminated or not. But gosh, it almost is as if we're real contestants! It makes me feel so happy, the thought of participating at Strictly just fills me with so much joy.
We also walked past a producer that I already know from inviting him to a concert of Steps - just to show him that I'm interested in being a contestant on Strictly too.
Anyways, soon the show will start. And as we're performing in the results show, we're allowed to watch the couples performing until we'll be called to the stage for our own performance. This is such a brilliant opportunity and I really have to do my best to not be biased. Like, of course I got my favourite pros. I really like Giovanni but also Aljaž and from the females I really like Karen and Amy. But in the end they're all great.
"Just look." I whisper fascinated. "Look!" I shout happily. "That's where the dressing rooms are! And over there, there's the room of the costume crew! You know, where they do the dresses and stuff for the show."
"How do you even know that?" Claire asks confused.
"I work here." I joke. "No. But I do know much about the show."
"Like an insider." she adds with a grin.
I grin back but before we all could continue our conversation, we spot someone walking towards us. Oh my gosh! These are the judges!
"Hello!" one of them greets us. The judge who just greeted us is Bruno, who's, probably, the most cheerful of them all. He's a bit like H with his cheerful and chatty personality. And he's always so nice to the contestants even if they don't perform as good as others. I like him.
"Hello." I say shyly. "Nice to meet you all. And nice costumes."
"Thank you, we like them as well." Darcey replies, looking at our own outfits. "But your costumes are equally great."
"Thank you." Claire answers, stunned that a judge of Strictly indeed just told us that.
"Excited to be here?" Bruno asks cheerfully.
"Probably not as excited as our contestants." Craig replies, his usual manner of being the 'mean' judge showing. But he's actually just as nice as Bruno and also, he smiles while saying that so he's obviously just trying to tease us. It's sad that some people don't get that he's actually very lovely aside from the judging panel.
