It had been almost a week and a half since Cathrine was brought back, and she still hasn't woken up from her coma. The three sisters were sympathetic to Jest, and they provided him with a lovely little cottage hidden in the woods, so they couldn't be found, and he could take care of Cathrine.
He did his best to cook for himself and Raven, finding any cook book he could around the house. He followed the recipes, and at the beginning, the results of his cooking were bad. Jest kept practicing until he memorized every single recipe in the book. He also found a book called " The Best Baked Sweets in Hearts," so he decided that he would try to bake too, so when Cathrine woke up, if she woke up, he could surprise her with his baking and cooking skills he had learned.
Jest reached into the oven with a towel in his hand, and pulled out a simply delicious Apple Cobbler he learned how to make only yesterday. He lay the Cobbler on the counter and put the towel to the side. He let the Apple Cobbler cool down on the counter; it made the whole little cottage smell like Apples and Cinnamon. Jest lay both hands on the counter, admiring what he had made. " No wonder Cathrine likes baking so much.." Jest breathed in the cinnamon smell and he walked out of the kitchen.

Cathrine lay on a bed of white roses. She felt a hand tap her shoulder, and she turned to her side, not wanting to wake up. Then she heard a voice. "Cathrine. Cathrine. Wake up." Cathrine slowly sat up and opened her eyes. And what a sight.
Everything was white. The sky, the room, everything inside, it was all white. A little girl stood in front of her; she was wearing a white night gown, and she had Cathrine's dark hair, and she had the same emerald green eyes as she did. " Wh-who are you?" "I am you." The girl said, just a little bit above a whisper. "You're ...me?" Cathrine hadn't heard herself speak in a while; how long has she been asleep? " Yes. I am Cathrine Pinkerton, and I'm 9 years old." Cathrine widened her eyes. "Oh sorry I forgot to say, you're dreaming. None of this is real.well, I mean I am real from the past, but this is a dream—Never mind that. Now come with me, I baked something and I want you to try it." 9 year old Cath took older Cathrine's hand and they walked out of the room. They walked through the crystal clear halls and they entered the kitchen. It smelled like cinnamon and Apples.
Apple Cobbler.
It was one of Cathrine's favorite things to bake. "Try it!" Said little Cath taking the tray off the clear counter. Cathrine took a piece and put it in her mouth. Wow. It was delicious; it was warm and crisp, and it had the right amount of cinnamon, not that much to over power it. The apple were sliced to perfection, and the Juices from the apples oozed out as she bit into it. "Are you sure you made this?" Cathrine covered her mouth with her hand as she spoke so she would spit as she continued to chew. "Yep. I made it entirely myself, no one helped me. Do you like it?" Little Cath grinned and took a bite out of the tiny slice she had. "Like it? This is amazing!" Cathrine chuckled.
"When I grow up, I want to be a Baker. I want to own a little shop with my best friend, Mary Ann!" Cathrine had forgot about Mary Ann. Cathrine forced the memory out and smiled. "Thank you for letting me try this." Cathrine said wiping the crumbs of her face. "Of course!" They talked for a while, no longer than 10 minutes, when little Cath looked at the clock hanging on the wall behind them, and she gasped. "Would you look at the time! Its time for bed." Little Cath took Her hand and they rushed back into the previous room they were in before. "It was nice having you here. I'm so excited to grow up, because I'm going to look like you! And you are beautiful." Cathrine flushed and lashed down on the bed of white roses. "You are beautiful too." Little Cath giggled and began to stepped back.
"Best you get some rest, older me. It was nice meeting you." Little Cathrine said as she vanished into black Mist.

Jest went into his room to change; he was covered in flour and other baking ingredients he had used to make the Apple Cobbler. His room looked much the same when he was a Rook in Chess. His room was mostly black, with some very dark grey. The room was small but comfortable. His bed was black, embroidered with White Spades. He had a walk-in closet, not that big, but it kept all his clothes and other thing in.
After he changed into a fresh new pair of clothes, he grabbed his hat, which he put new bells on, and went back into the kitchen. Jest slowly opened the door. He walked in a couple of steps and stopped midway.
There was someone sitting on the counter chair, eating his Apple Cobbler. It was a girl—a young woman—eating the Cobbler with a fork, very lady- like. She didn't hear him walk in, she looked like she was enjoying it to much. She had dark, messy hair, and she wore a familiar looking dress. He couldn't tell who it was, but she turned her head more to the side, still not noticing him. She had shiny, emerald green eyes, and her face was rather beautiful—
Jest dropped his hat onto the ground, the new bells hit with a jingle. His jaw dropped. The girl noticed him finally, and she dropped her fork, making a loud sound when it banged against the counter and the tray. Both of their their eyes widened in disbelief.
"Jest?" She whispered.
"Cathrine?"
