The Jabberwock struck its claw at Cathrine, and she slid down the to the ground, dodging the swing. It growled as it swung its long and scaly tail at her; she cried out in pain as one of the sharp tooth-like scale cut her arm deeply, dark red blood was oozing out from the injury. She shrugged it off and dug the sword through the beast's leg; it let out a sharp shriek and pushed her to the ground. Jest jumped onto the Jabberwock's long neck and restricted it from getting closer to Cathrine. The Jabberwock cried out and swung it's neck and threw him off it's neck and slammed into a brick wall; he clutched his stomach as he slowly moaned in pain, before he shut his eyes and slowly released his stomach, becoming silent.
"JEST!" Cathrine cried out as she watched Jest being slammed into the wall. She got up from the ground and went under the beast, leaving it confused for a moment. She reached the back of the tail raised the sword up wearily, her bruises and cuts aching with every movement. She swung the sword down, slicing half its tail off. Dark purple blood seeped out both ends of it. Cathrine nearly fell, but she held her balance, still holding onto the sword. The Jabberwock screeched as it turned around to face her, smacking her almost a yard back in the process.
She lay on the ground, unable to move; she felt the world spinning around her. She clutched her above her chest as she barely gasped. A deep cut stretched diagonally across, warm blood streaming out of her. She lifted up her trembling hand up to View, revealing her blood covered fingers. As it fell back down to her side, she heard a low chuckle from The Jabberwock before it extended its wings, and flew away.
Cathrine sensed another presence with her. She then saw a hooded figure dance around through her blurred vision. She felt it shaking her, and feeling her wounds. It was trying to communicate with her, but it was barely audible as she slowly closed her eyes.

"Are you alright, my lady?" The figure spoke.
Cathrine's eyes slowly fluttered open and she saw a someone in a hood, she could barely see their ginger hair or any of his face through the hood. "My lady?" The figure said softly again. Cathrine shot up as her eyes widened. She was in a small room, and she sat on what looked like a wooden hospital bed— but she certainly wasn't in a hospital. It was more like a small, and well hidden cottage. Cathrine rubbed her head, "who are you? Where am I? What happened?"
It finally took off its hood, revealing a young man, probably even her and Jest's age. She could finally see all of his ginger colored hair, and it somehow still shined in such a dark room. The freckles on his cheeks and the bridge of his nose were hardly visible, but she still managed to find them. His ruby red eyes moved up and down, as if he were inspecting her face too. And, of course, he was charmingly handsome, just like Jest, and literally everyone else in Chess.
"Glad to see your finally awake. Allow me to formally introduce myself; my name is Adam, Adam Scott Rory. At your service, Lady Cathrine," He said as he took a bow.
Cathrine flinched, "How do you know my name?" He then chuckled, "I have seen you in When I've been to Hearts a couple of times, and I do my research. Also, your kinda well known here in Chess, everyone one knows about you supposedly the future Queen of Hearts."
"Stalker much..." Cathrine mumbled, as he looked at her in confusion. "Nothing," she spoke and nervously laughed. "Well anyway, I took you here after you fainted while you were fighting the Jabberwock—"
"JEST! Where is he? Is he ok? Tell me where he is or I swear I will—" She frantically tried to stand up, but she fell back down on the bed, her legs were numb. "UGH, COME ON LEGS!" She yelled as she crossed her arms. "Don't worry, I've got him too. He had a scale from the beast that punctured through his stomach, it was a pretty bad injury, so he's resting in another room right now. He woke up a while ago, all worried where you were, but I told him you were sleeping, and he took another nap," Adam said, sounding worried.
