"May the Ceremony begin!"

Cathrine took a deep breath as she entered the grand hall. The Queen stood beside her throne, with a wide grin on her face. The people of Chess all stood up from their seats and watched her as she walked by them. Jest, Karmen, and Hatta stood in the front row in somewhat formal attire. Cathrine waved at the Chessians that stood and clapped as she strode along the white carpeted path.

She was really nervous; what did she know about being Queen? Absolutely nothing. She did her best to hide the growing panic within her. She finally reached the steps and onto the stage where the thrones were at. The Queen stood in front of her, with a small white crown in hand.

"Cathrine Pinkerton of Hearts, do you vow to protect The White Kingdom and the people in it for the amount you serve as Queen, and even after, when this unwanted war has ended, will you hold faith in us?" Queen Bianca spoke with power. His voice was soft, yet it could be heard throughout the whole room. "I will, my Queen."

"Will you stand by my side and your friends in battle?"
"Yes, my Queen."

Queen Bianca placed the crown on Cathrine's head, then turned to the seated people. " My friends, please bow to our new Queen!" The room burst with clapping, laughter, crying, and a few children jumping with others, everyone with smiles on their faces. Cathrine strode by again heading back, and was showered with white roses and many 'our new queen' and 'bless you my Queen'. She thanked them all and walked through the doors, her friends behind her.

"Cathrine you're Queen! Ha, I never thought this day would come." Jest grabbed her by the waist and twirled her in the air like a child. She laughed and kissed his cheek.

"Congrats, My Queen," Hatta bowed, more in a sarcastic manner, but he did his best not to look irritated. "Thank you, Hatta," Cathrine smirked and patted his hat, a little too hard. He mumbled and walked away with Karmen, who also congratulated her. "Oh, I am delighted to have you ruling by my side. It's not so bad being a Queen, you'll see." Cath nodded, "thank you, my Queen, it is an honor."

The White Queen smiled, "Oh darling, call me Bianca, all of you may. I shall see you in a few for our first meeting." She smiled and curtsied, and practically skipped down the long hallway.

"So, your Highness, what do you plan on doing now?" Adam let out a low chuckle. She pondered on it for a moment. "Hm, there are still about 45 minutes until the meeting, so I was thinking that I may take a stroll through the garden.

" Cathrine began walking down the hall when she felt a hand grab her wrist. "Mind if I join? I have been told I am great company," Adam leaned closer to my ear, "might I suggest not to bring along Jest? He isn't that great, and frankly a bit irritating." His red eyes glistened, awaiting a response. She didn't take her gaze off of him, but she could see from the corner of her eye, she could see Jest standing there, unsure of what to do or say, and clearly frustrated. "Um, I think I'd prefer to be alone for a while. I'll see you two at the meeting in a few." She continued walking and after a while, found the glass doors that led to the garden.

When Jest was sure she was gone, he pushed Adam to the wall forcefully and pinned him. "Who do you think you are?" Jest's face was red and raged, Adam kept a neutral face. "Well, I'm Adam Rory of course. I thought you already knew that?" He spoke, smirking. "You think you're slick, running in and saving us from danger, but once you lay your filthy eyes on her you try and gain her trust and her heart, but you know that it can't happen because they are already in my possession. I know you're trying to get rid of me, so stop playing so coy." Jest pressed harder so he was sure he couldn't escape his grasp.
"I'm not being coy, I'm just being me. I know she loves you and would do just about anything for you, I want someone to show me love like that. She's beautiful, isn't she? Almost like a red, delicate rose, don't you think?" Jest did his best not to tighten his grip around his neck. "Stop with the riddles, I know how perfect she is. What are you up to?" Adam seemed like he was about to respond, but they heard the door from the throne room open, with people being led out, so Jest quickly let go of Adam and stood straight. He looked over at Adam, but he was nowhere in sight.
