Who even keeps track of the time during winter, Michael thought, barely even knowing what month he was in, let alone the exact date.

He was now driving to Lisa's apartment to hang out for a bit, which was what they usually did when they had nothing to do.

It was a good time because it usually consisted of deep talks, comfortable silences and watching TV shows or movies.

Although, as much as Michael hated to admit it, he sometimes felt like a girl while he was around Lisa (and it wasn't because of that one time Lisa dared Michael to paint his nails, which he ended up doing, but regretted it heavily, for he didn't know how to take the nail polish off and Lisa didn't tell him how to.) It was because he became a gossiping little bitch when he was around her. He told Lisa everything - and as far as Michael was concerned, Lisa told everything to him as well. Michael does talk to his friends about certain things, and he isn't going to lie to himself either, he gossips with them as well, but never as much as he does with Lisa.

It didn't bother him though, he loved the friendship he had with Lisa.

Eventually, Michael parked his car in the building's parking lot and got out, stepping in the elevator before exiting it, opening the door to her house with the spare key she had given him not so long ago.

"Honey, I'm home!" Michael called, as he stepped in, causing Lisa to shout a short "In the living room!"

Michael walked through the house and into the living room, where Lisa was sitting on the leather couch, aimlessly flipping through the channels.

"What's up?" Michael asked as he joined her on the couch.

"I'm bored and lonely. But what else is new?"

"Same," Michael nodded his head in agreement.

After a few minutes of Lisa still flipping through the channels, still not settling on anything, he took the remote from her and shut the TV off.

"I have a question," Michael began, "Do you ever do anything that doesn't involve being brain-dead, while flipping through the channels?"

Lisa snorted, "Do you not know me by now? I tried being athletic, didn't work out, I tried getting good grades, it didn't fail, but it didn't work out either, I tried procrastinating and I consider myself an expert, I've been a procrastrinator ever since I can remember and I'm not planning on stopping."

Michael let out a throaty laugh, "You seem to have it all figured out."

"You would be surprised."

"Can I ask another question?" Michael spoke.

"You just did," Lisa pointed out.

He rolled his eyes, "You know what I mean."

"Okay, go ahead."

"If you could live anywhere else in the world, where would you live?"

"What the fuck even is that question?" Lisa mocked.

"A valid one," Michael challenged.

"I feel like we're playing twenty questions and I'm not sure if I like it, Gordon."

Michael resisted the urge to roll his eyes at her. He hated with a burning passion his middle name, and he hated it even more when people referred to him as 'Gordon' as a joke.

"It's not twenty questions, Lisa."

"It's not?" she huffed, "What is it then?"

"Just questions," he shrugged, "They don't have to be twenty."

"Oh God," Lisa groaned, "Fine."

"Answer the question then."

"I like England, but I don't think I would be able to handle the rain 24/7, but I guess I'd deal with it, I can't really determine my decision based on the climate of a place," she answered truthfully, "I don't think I even have to ask this, but I might as well... Where would you go?"

"I would go back home in Australia in a heartbeat."

Being Michael's first friend, she was well aware of this fact. Lisa knew how much Michael missed home, he would constantly reminisce on how things were back when he lived there. And she loved hearing the anecdotes Michael provided her with. It was interesting to hear something about Australia that didn't necessarily involve kangaroos or deadly animals.

"Knew it," Lisa smirked proudly.

"You have no idea how amazing life back home was," Michael continued, "There was this girl-

"Amanda," she cut him off politely, already knowing who he was going to mention.

"Yeah, Amanda," Michael smiled at Lisa, "She was so amazing, and I had the biggest crush on her, she was literally the best."

"Excuse me?" Lisa scoffed jokinly, "I thought I was the best?"

"You are," Michael chuckled.

"Damn right I am, I was your first friend here."

That was true. Michael had moved to America at the terribly awkward age of 16, leaving behind many of his friends, and of course, Amanda. A career opportunity for his dad had appeared and his father couldn't say no, there was a catch though, and it was moving to the States. So here he was.

Michael wasn't like the other kids, to be honest. He wasn't as social or as outgoing as everyone else was. So, of course, coming in to a new school was absolutely nerve-wracking for him.

However, when a nice little brunette that went by the name of Lisa, approached him on his very first day, made everything easier, seeing as they had clicked immediately.

Sure, they hadn't known each other since diapers, but that didn't mean their friendship meant any less. They felt like they had known each other their entire lives.

"And what a terrible choice that was," Michael snickered playfully.

"Rude," Lisa countered.

"But what else is new, am I right?"

"Right," Lisa paused, "Anyways, next question."

"Okay," He grinned, "what would you do if a bear... a grizzly bear, at that, came up to you and asked you to do a prostrate exam on him, but he asked you, like, in latin?" Michael asked, his face completely and one hundred percent serious now, as if it were an important manner.

At this, Lisa bursted out laughing, "How would I even know what the bear said if he said it in latin?"

"I know how to ask that," Michael said cockily.

"Oh my god," she laughed even harder now, "How?"

"Fac me ipsum a prostate."

"How do you even know that?" Lisa asked.

"I'm not sure who taught me that, but yeah, what would you do?"

"I would probably record it because it's a latin speaking grizzly bear, I'm going to be rich, and then run away screaming."

"He would probably eat you before you even have the chance to record him," He pointed out.

"One would think a latin speaking grizzly bear would be more civilized."

"Hey, you never know, it could probably eat you."

"You would hate for that to happen," Lisa smiled.

"I definitely would."
