"Crap, crap, crap, crap, crap." Lisa mumbled to herself, scrambling through her apartment trying to fix everything up.

Her brother, Tom, was coming to visit and even though he really wouldn't care about the tidiness of Lisa's home, she needed to make sure everything was clean. Tom was her only sibling and she didn't know if he had spoken to her parents about her whole being gay 'situation.'

The sole reason Lisa was fixing up her apartment was because she didn't want her parents asking Tommy about how she was doing and him replying with 'her place is a mess' or 'she doesn't know how to take care of herself.' She knew Tom wouldn't do that, but she wasn't going to risk it.

Lisa felt like pulling her hair out of her head - yes, she was that frustrated - but instead of doing that, she kept on cleaning, vacuuming the floor multiple times and even fluffing the pillows which she always thought was useless. Do people actually pay attention to the fluffines or softness of a couch pillow? she thought.

Not only was she stressed because her brother was coming to visit, but she was also stressed because that meant Michael was going to also come over. She loved Michael to death, but whenever Tom visited he brought out his inner douche and talked about topics Lisa didn't even understand, or didn't want to know about altogether.

Tom also loved to tease Michael and Lisa and how they would date if she wasn't a lesbian, at first, she laughed it off, but when it was every single time they would share a laugh or an inside joke, Tom would pull a typical 'Just date already' which had started to aggravate Lisa and even though it seemed Michael brushed those type of comments off, she was sure it had to bother him on some level as well.

"Jesus," she sighed as she plopped herself on the couch, in a great need of a break. Cleaning up wasn't Lisa's thing. Her place wasn't a mess at all, but she never really bothered with things such as fluffing the pillow or having he fridge spotless. Plus, she also had to hide some of her favorite snacks because honestly, she knew Tom would've taken them and she didn't really want that to happen. After all, money was kind of tight, having to depend solely on herself. It was only fair she doesn't have her favorite snacks eaten by her brother.

Lisa felt her phone buzz in her backpocket, signaling she had a text. She rolled her eyes, she really didn't want to be bothered right now, but she had to check her phone in case Tom texts her, informing her he has arrived and asks her to pick him up at the airport.

She took her phone out and sighed in relief when it was only Michael texting her and she didn't have to leave the comfort of her couch just yet.

from: michael

michael: sup bruh

michael: am i allowed to call you bruh

michael: or should i call you sis

michael: sup sis

michael: ew i did not enjoy calling you sis

michael: *cringes profusely*

michael: anyway

michael: can i come over

michael: i know you have to pick tom up from the airport and i figured you could use some company

michael: so yeah im already heading out

Lisa thanked her lucky stars that she at least didn't have to go to the airport alone. She loved long car rides, but she didn't love them when she was alone. Having company definitely made her stress ease a bit.

However, that didn't last long, remembering how Michael sometimes behaves when he's around Tom.

Sighing in defeat, she closed her eyes with no intention of falling asleep, but she did nonetheless.

-

Not long had passed since Lisa fell asleep, but the minute she woke up she had three missed calls from Tom and one missed call from Michael.

She could only assume Tom had arrived.

Lisa dialed Tom's number, patiently waiting for him to pick up, which he did shortly after.

"Lisa!" He greeted.

"Tom, oh my god, I'm so sorry, I fell asleep, are you already here?" Lisa spoke rather quickly, something she does when she's stressed.

"Yeah, yeah, but I already spoke to Michael, he's going over to pick you up so you guys can pick me up and I'll just hang around for a while until you get here." Tom's tone was calm and she couldn't help but compare herself to him. If it were her that had to wait, she would probably be fuming.

"Alright, see you in a bit." and with that she hung up.

Rubbing the sleep out of her eyes, she rose from the couch and hurriedly slipped on some old, blue sneakers she had lying on the floor. She didn't really bother putting on nice clothes, she just went with what she was already wearing, a white, loose top along with black yoga pants. She looked rather sporty, when in reality she wasn't. She wasn't at all.

A few minutes passed before Michael finally arrived, walking through Lisa's apartment like it was his own. She didn't really mind that, though.

"Lisa, I'm-" Michael tried to speak but he was cut off

"Yes, you're here, now come on let's go, we need to get to the airport, he's already here," Lisa interrupted, grabbing Michael by the wrist and pulling him out of the apartment.

Michael was slightly taken aback by Lisa's evident stress, but he couldn't help but think it was kind of cute how she wanted to get there on time and didn't want to make her brother wait too long.

"Woah, slow down there, tiger, it's just your brother," Michael laughed as they stepped into the building's elevator.

"Yeah, but I don't want to seem like a mess," She sighed.

"It's a little to late for that," They stepped out of the elevator and Lisa jogged to his car, while Michael was taking his sweet goddamn time to get there.

"Michael, hurry up!" She yelled, getting inside the car.

"For fuck's sakes, Lisa, chill out, I'm coming!" Michael continued to laugh, while Lisa didn't really understand what was funny.

He finally got inside the car and put the key in the ignition, turning it and driving away, on their way to the airport.

"Wanna play road games?" Michael asked.

This is going to be a long drive, Lisa thought.
