Mira's POV

My eyes slowly blinked open, trying to adjust to the lighting. I turned my head to the side to see Colby and, is that Chris?

"Hey, idiots, Mira's waking up!" I heard Ava yell and Chris and Colby turned their heads toward me.

Colby leaned over and hugged me. I hugged him back, "Hey."

"God, you scared me," He whispered, his grip around me tightening while his head was buried in my hair.

"Sorry," I whispered back.

We pulled away from each other to find Ava and Chris staring at us.

Ava put her finger up to her mouth and made a fake gagging sound, "You guys are so cringy."

"Sorry, my concern for Mira's too much for you," Colby said with a laugh.

Ava rolled her eyes and left the room. That left Chis, Colby, and me in a semi-awkward silence. I could, quite literally, feel the jealousy radiating off of Colby, and I'm pretty sure Chris could as well.

"Why am I always the one breaking the ice?" I asked, trying to lighten the mood.

"Don't ask me, you seem to be the only one able to do it," Chris stated in an obvious tone of voice. I rolled my eyes before Chris spoke again, "Well, I'm gonna go downstairs and leave you two to yourselves."

Chris got up from his seat on one of the bedside chairs we have and left the room, leaving Colby and me in silence.

"So, um, I'd hate to bring up this topic right now, but what do you want to do about the situation with Kaden and Lucas?" Colby said, sitting down on the bed.

I sighed. I honestly don't know what to do about this. There's only one solution I can think of, but I don't know how effective it would be, and I don't know if I could trust Kaden. And I don't like it, Colby won't like it either. The only solution I can think of is to trade myself for Lucas. Put Lucas into Colby's care, and leave with Kaden. I would never get back together with him. But, then again, maybe giving him the idea, as awful as it may sound, and then finding a way for Alejandro to help me get out of there, before mine and Colby's baby was born, wouldn't be a bad idea.

"I only have one idea in mind that might work, but I don't like it, and I know you won't either," I spoke sadly, twidling my thumbs.

Colby's face morphed into one of worry, "What's your idea?"

I sighed, "The only thing I can think of is to trade myself for Lucas. I'd leave with Kaden and give Lucas to you. But I don't know that I trust Kaden enough to follow through with that. And even then, I left him to keep Lucas away from his lifestyle, I don't want our child growing up there either. I'd have to talk to Al ahead of time. See if there's a way for us to keep in contact while I'm there, and find a way to get me out of there before our baby's born. Again, I don't know if I trust Kaden, and I don't think he'd let me out of his sight for even one second if I go through with this."

"You're right, I don't like it. But, if that's the only solution, we might have to do it. Do you want to talk to Alejandro first, before we make any decisions?" Colby asked, a hint of sorrow in his voice.

"Yeah, let's call him."

I grabbed Colby's laptop from his nightstand and turned it on. I decided it would be best to talk to Al over Skype, so that's what we did.

"What do you guys need?" He asked answering the call.

"We have a problem," Colby spoke before I had a chance to speak.
