Colby spoke again as soon as we pulled into his driveway, "I'm in the process of moving, so excuse the mess."

I nodded and took Lucas inside. The place wasn't really messy, there were just a few boxes lying around. "I'll call Kat. Maybe she and Sam can get Kaden off our backs. At least long enough that we can figure something out."

"Maybe they can grab some of Lucas's clothes so you guys can stay here until all of this blows over," Colby suggested.

"That's a great idea. Kaden doesn't know Kat. If Kat can convince Kaden that we're nothing but roommates he won't question her if she fills a duffel bag and says it's her stuff so she can stay at Sam's for a while. I'll call her now."

"Hello?"
"Hey, I need your help."
"What happened?"
"Kaden found me. He showed up at our house so Lucas and I are at Colby's. I was hoping you could get into the house and pack a bag for Lucas and me."
"Yeah. Bathroom supplies and a few changes of clothes, right?"
"And a couple sippy cups for Lucas."
"Ok."
"And a warning: I kind of shot Kaden. It smells like blood in the hall."
"Oh great."

I got off the phone with Kat. Hopefully, Kaden won't give her any problems.

Katrina's POV

Sam pulled up in front of the house. Mira's car was sitting in the driveway along with a second car I didn't recognize. Sam and I walked up to the door and I took my time getting my keys out. Mira was right. The hallway smelled pretty bad, although I guess it could've been worse.

Suddenly, a man limped into the room,  "Where's Luna?"

"There isn't a Luna here, sir."

"Then where did she go?"

"I don't know a Luna, so I couldn't tell you."

"Oh really. Then who was here earlier?"

"Oh, that was my roommate, her son, and her boyfriend."

The man growled. This is definitely Kaden.

"Well, I'm gonna go pack my overnight bag. I'll be out in a minute."

I ran back to Mira's room and shut the door behind me. I could hear Sam talking to Kaden, distracting him. I packed some of Mira's clothes and her brush before walking into Lucas's room. When the bag was fully packed I walked into the kitchen.

"Are you finished?" Sam yelled from the living room.

"Almost. I just need to pack my creamer," I yelled back.

I pulled out a few of Lucas's sippy cups and zipped up the bag. This should be enough, for now.

"Ok, I'm done. I have enough clothes for the next week, let's go."

The man, Kaden, followed us outside but left the house before we did and, luckily, he was going in the opposite direction of Colby's house.

When we got in the car Sam spoke, "I don't know what's scarier, ghosts or Mira's ex."

I laughed, "Well, one of them has a gun, so I think Kaden is worse."

We finished the drive to Colby's and got out of the car. After giving Mira her bag Sam and I decided we'd stay and hang out for a while.

A/N

Sorry, this chapter is so short. It's more of a filler chapter than anything. The next chapter, however, will be longer, hopefully. At the time of writing this chapter 12 hasn't been written yet, but I'm hoping it's longer than this chapter.
