Liana
As much as Oliver tried to hide the fact, that he is so glad to have our 'us' time together in the evening, he failed miserably as he waved and greeted everyone bye and said we will meet tomorrow. We left everyone at a Cafe for snacks and he pulled me out excitedly.
"How are we going?" I asked him.
"Someone is here to drop off the car." He explained. "I am so excited."
We were greeted by a man I have never met before and I see him mutter something to Oliver, who nodded his head in approval. He opened the door for me as I slipped into the comfortable leather seat. He checked the mirror and everything before pulling the car away and driving off.
"You still won't tell me?" I pouted.
"Don't pout." He pointed out. "It is a surprise and it is hard to keep it a surprise when you make those adorable faces."
"Fine. I think I like surprises." I admitted.
"You will love it." He said. He drove for a long while, until I could see beach.
"No way." I said sitting up and looking outside and then at him. "Please tell me we are spending sometime here." I asked hopeful.
"More than just sometime." He assured as he pulled to the parking space. I got off the car as Oliver chuckled while I breathed the air in the beach. Oliver opened his trunk to reveal two baskets and I quickly went to help him, he at first declined my help, but I force him to.
We found a spot and laid down the cloth and then tried to settle down. Oliver was new to this what I would say a picnic arrangement as he seemed lost and tried to figure out as I helped him. There was cooler with drinks, juices and wines. There were sandwiches, fruits, cheese plates, skewers and desserts. As we both were settled, we looked around the beach, according to Oliver- the sun was setting down in an hour and a half. We can see people still hanging around and some of them was getting ready to throw party in the beach.
"Is this your first picnic?" I asked him.
"Definitely the first, but not the last. You like this, I know that."
I grinned. "Your house backyard."
"Our house." He corrected me.
"It is your house." I corrected him.
"Our house." He argued as he pulled me close to his arms and kissed me lightly. "You argue a lot more now."
"I don't. I just like pointing out the fact."
He kissed my nose and he laughed. "You are a funny one, Ms. Parker."
"Glad you find that entertaining, Mr. Lee."
"Always." He said as he put a strawberry in my mouth, the strawberry was coated with chocolate and tasted absolutely amazing. The foods was delicious, I wouldn't even have realize they were home-made until I asked him.
"Jamie hired the best chef in Seattle."
"But you stay in the apartment? He cooks and send it to you?"
"Most of the time." He agreed.
"It's delicious."
"You know, one of the other perk of moving in with me in our house is the delicious foods."
"What is the first perk, then?" I asked.
"Me." He grinned. "You get to see your handsome boyfriend first thing in the morning."
"Look at you being so high about yourself. Is that healthy?"
"Sure is." He teased.
"One is the good reason." I said as I pecked his lip. "It will be great to wake up next to you."
"I am telling you, it is the wisest thing to do."
"Mia will be left alone."
"Not for long." He said. "Grayson is discussing with Mia about moving here or Mia moving back to NYC."
"What? She never told me that? She keep transferring school!"
"That's exactly what Grayson said and he doesn't want her to do that."
"She did not discuss with me about it."
"It is their business, they are old. Grayson said they had a hard time with long distance relationship and making arrangement."
"Most probably Grayson will be moving here."
"Isn't he handling your business in NYC?"
"He visits most of the time, he is full-time in school, I told him to focus in school and do well, the business is handled by people I trust and I do keep them on check and pay them well. Jason make sure of that too."
"It must be hard to handle businesses."
"It is, we have to trust your employees." He said.
"That's true too, it's all about the risks."
"That's right! sometime there is uncertainty, but you have to be confident and love what you do."
"I put my head on his shoulder as we both sat still looking at the bird flying back home and the sun settling down for the day. Young teenager cheered as they lit up the bonfires around the areas, the streetlights was finally on and the music turned on.
Oliver first stood up and give me his hand and I put mine in his as he pulled me up. He took out some sparklers and I grinned in excitement.
"I told you, you will love the surprise."
We lit the sparklers and played with it. We chased each other with sparklers in our hand, our laughters could be heard along with the beach water and the cheering of the teenager. As we both settled down and drank some water, he suddenly looked at me and pulled out a box and my eyes widened and I choked myself with the water.
"Baby, slow down." He frowned as he pat my back.
"What is this?" I asked.
He laughed, "Don't be scared, I know you think it is a ring- I would love to get you the ring, but I think you will be running a couple of miles away." He opened the box to show me a beautiful necklace, it was a heart necklace with a crown attached on top of the heart.
"It is so beautiful." I gasped.
He smiled, "Can I put this on for you?"
"I-yes." I said as I turned around and lifted my hair. He gently placed it around my neck and when I looked down, I smiled, it look so beautiful.
"This heart." He pointed to the necklace. "is to remind you of my love towards you and the crown on top of the heart is to tell you that you own my heart."
My heart fluttered at his words and I quickly moved towards him to give him a hug as I sobbed in his arms.
"Baby, it hurts me when I hear or see you cry."
"Happy tears, baby. I promise." I sobbed as he hugged me tighter.
