Cole
"Great game tonight boys," Coach Troy announces to all of us players in the locker room. I chug down the rest of my red gatorade and throw the empty bottle at the trash can, making it.
"Cole," coach troy calls out. I look up at him as I wrap my sweaty white towel around my neck. "Way to score the winning goal." My other teammates clap around me and I give them a fake smile.
"What else do I live for?" I respond back to coach Troy. Coach Troy squints his eyes at me, but blows over my comment.
"And Dace," Coach Troy starts back up again and I groan. "Way to jump in during the middle of our game. You really saved us out there." Again, our other teammates clap for Dace except for me. I look over at Dace who I leaning against the lockers. Dace gives me a mocking wink, but I just respond with a middle finger.
"Now, get out of here!" coach Troy yells and everyone scatters from the locker room. "except for you Sanders." I stop in my tracks and let out a sight. Great...what now? I slowly turn around on my heels and face coach troy.
"Yes sir?" I try to say mannerly. Coach Troy crosses his arms and looks face to face with me, dead eyed.
"You're the leader of this team, Cole. I expect for you to act like one, on and off the ice." My lips press together in a thin line as I try not to laugh at his words. If he knew me at all, he'd know that I didn't give a tiny rats ass about being captain. Or even about hockey at all.
"Got it," I say to him, even though I know he knows I don't mean it.
"You know what will happen if you don't take this seriously—"
"I said I got it!" I snap, cutting him off. I'm tired of everyone always controlling me. Cole do this and Cole be that. Its tiring.
Coach Troy stares at me for a moment longer before nodding toward the exit, dismissing me. I turn around and grab my bag off the locker bench before walking out. Why does everybody have to use that against me?
I really need a distraction right now. And what's a better distraction...then a party?

"Whoohoo!" Kylie screams before he downs the bottle of vodka while he stands up on my dining room table. Kyle is one of the most hardcore party animals that I have ever met. And also one of the most hardcore drinkers.
"Cole get your ass up here!" Kyle yells almost making him fall off the table. I shake my head in defense.
"Hell no, I don't want to break my neck," I protest before crossing my arms. Kyle doesn't respond to me, just continues to dance and throw back his bottle of alcohol. I shake my head at his actions but also laugh in a amusement, before walking into the kitchen to retrieve a drink of my own. I settle for the classic, vodka and cranberry juice, my favorite.
"Hey dude," I hear a guy say form behind before smacking my back and almost making me spill my drink. I steady myself on the counter before turning around to spot the culprit.
"Dumbass!" I exclaim, once I see who it is. Josh is one of my many good friends. He's almost as wild as Kyle, but a little bit more chill and has a really weird fucking sense of humor.
"Hey, good game tonight, Coleslaw," he mocks my nickname from Kyle after taking a sip out of his red solo cup. I choose to ignore the name and instead nod my head in a thank you but kind of frown in a way. "This is one raging party as well. You've really outdone yourself tonight. Is there someone I should know about?" I almost choke on my drink as soon as the words come out of his mouth. Not of surprise, but amusement.
