"Where are you taking me?" Cole lets out a frustrated sigh, obviously annoyed with me asking the same question for the tenth time.

"Do you not understand what 'it's a surprise' means?" I stop walking, taking my time to give Cole a long glare. Cole notices that I stopped and roles his eyes once he sees the glare that I'm giving him. "Can you just not be stubborn for once?" I tilt my head to the side and raise my eyebrow slightly as well. But Cole just rolls his eye again. I thought that was my job?

"Can I have a hint?" Cole looks up at the sky for a moment, tilting his head as if he's actually contemplating my question. But I know he's just trying to be a pain in the ass. But what else is new?

"Hm, or I could just y'know," he shrugs back not even bothering to finish what he's saying because he already knows i know what's on his peanut sized mind. I cross my arms, arching a eyebrow in challenge.

"You wouldn't." That's all it takes. Those two, simple words is all it takes for Cole to come storming towards, ready to throw me over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. I shutter at the thought. Not only of the fact that we would be full fled touching, but of the memory of him doing that one time when I refused to leave my house. My crumbled, burned down house.

"Okay, okay!" I plead as I throw my arms out right as Cole bends down to grab my bare legs. My bare legs that are now covered with goosebumps because of the slight chill that just breezed through the air. Cole straightens up, offering me an innocent smile. But I just glare at him even harder.

"M'lady," Cole teases as he moves out of the way for me to continue walking. But I just continue to seethe my annoyance.

"M'lady," I mock him as I roll my eyes once more. "Ass!" I walk past him, continuing our tread to Coles mysterious destination.

"Woah!" I hear him call out from behind me, but I just continue to walk. "Language!" My walking doesn't halt, but I do allow myself a week moment to smile at our playful banter.

Cole and I finally stop treading, landing in front of a big metal door inside a dark ally. The smell of garbage is very pungent and the darkness isn't helping my uneasiness any, either.

"Cole, where are we?" I ask as I hastily look around. Coles body heat radiates from his to mine as I stand noticeably close to him. But at the moment in time, I didn't care. I hear Cole chuckle at my nervousness and I glare up at him but still keep the same weary expression on my face.

"Relax, princess," Cole breathes into my ear, causing my entire body to tense. Cole reaches over to the door, knocking his big fist on it twice exactly. After a couple of silent seconds, a tiny screen window slides open on the door that I just realized was there. It's too dark to see the person that I assume is on the other side of the door. Instead, all I see is a red light gleam out of the slot and onto Coles and mines faces.

I can't hear anything as Cole leans in and whispers something into the slot, earning another couple seconds of silence until the big door finally opens for our entry. But of course, I don't move. Well, that is until I feel the warmth of Coles large hand on the small of my back. I know I should move away, I sense it deep inside me. The panic. But I also sense the slight comfort and safety under his lingering touch. So instead, I just let Cole guide me inside.

"Follow my lead, princess," Cole whispers into my ear again. "Don't worry, I've got you." His what are suppose to be comforting words only worry me even more. What is this place? We continue to walk down a long hallway, that seems to be endless, illuminated by the same intriguing red light from before. But now in full effect.
