"What was that about?" I ask Dace once we let go of each others pointer fingers as we reach the bus stop. Dace turns his head to look at me before shooting me a confused expression due to my question.

"What Sophie said, I mean. What was she talking about?" I see Daces eyes grow cold and his jaw clinch ever so slightly. I wasn't sure if it actually meant anything, but from Daces reaction just now, as tiny as it was, my suspicions were confirmed true.

"Nothing, it was just Sophie being Sophie," Dace responds before quickly averting eye contact with me. I raise a questionable eyebrow at him even though he's not looking at me. Okay, so that's defiantly a lie that he just told.

"Are you sure?" I continue to pester. The silence stays for a couple more seconds, and the wind naps at my face and breezes through Daces brown hair causing it ruffle. Dace gives me a slight nod in reposes, but it doesn't fully satisfy my craving for answers.

"Do you want to come over later tonight?" I ask Dace trying to change the subject. I might want him to come over so I can get more answers then just lies and a single head nod from him. But I also really do enjoy hanging out with him. We barley know anything about each other. And even though we're taking things slow, I feel like I should know more then the fact that he likes The Office and he has an obsession with sour patch kids. I mean a huge obsession.

"I can't tonight," Dace finally admits but still not making eye contact with me. "Hockey practice is running late tonight, so." I stare up at him in a state of wonder and disbelief, and watch as he shoves this hands in his jean pockets and kicks at the pebbles beneath our feet. Somethings not right. Not only is he acting weird, but I can feel the sudden change in the air around us as well.

"Ok," I sheepishly respond back to his answer. And right after I do, the bus pulls up and opens its door awaiting for me to hop on. "Well, I guess I'll see you on Monday then. Or if you want to hang out tomorrow we can," I say, turning around as I place one foot on the first step of the bus. Dace gives me a small smile.

"Yeah, tomorrow sounds great," he says. I give him a small smile In return as well and give Dace a little wave bye before turning around and letting the bus door close behind me.

"So, are we doing this or what?" Cole asks as soon as I open my front door. I feel my eyes grow wide with confusion and the coldness of the metal spoon in my mouth start to stick to my tongue due to me not moving it yet.

"What?" I try to say back to him with the spoon in my mouth but it just comes out as a faded mummer. Cole rolls his eye, obviously pulling a me, before walking into my apartment and pulling the spoon from my mouth.

"Hey!" I whine at his action before ripping the spoon back out of his hand to retrieve it. "My spoon." Cole rolls his eyes again, and this time I glare at him as I plop the spoon into my mint chocolate chip ice cream that I've been holding this entire time.

"So," Cole starts and I walk over to the kitchen freezer to put my ice cream back up. "where do you want to do it?" I close the freezer door after resting my ice cream in it and turn around giving Cole a confused look.

"Do what?" I question his question.

"The living room?" Cole continues to ramble, completely ignoring my question. "The kitchen? Oh I know, your bedroom." I arch my eyebrow at Cole but the next thing I know, Cole is turning around and heading straight for my room. Without any hesitation, I quickly rush after him in an attempt to seise his movements. But sadly, that's not the case.

"No, no, no," I scream repetitively at Cole. I enter into my room after Cole and I hear Cole give off a slight chuckle.

"Just like I remember it," Cole says as he examines around my room. "Messy." I roll my eyes at Cole and quickly start to gather things up of the floor and shove them in my closet.
