Yu Yan lifts her head up into the air, she could already smell the smoke. She turns back to the leader with a smile on her face, "He's almost here Captain."

Her Captain walked towards her wearing a smirk. With each step he took, the ground shook and he left footprints of fire with each one. As he stands beside her she warily notices how tiny she is compared to him. She only reaches up to his knee but then again he towered above anybody, even the king. To her annoyance, it's his build and his scowl that got him to this position, if it were up to skill or intelligence she would be number one. But she doesn't mind being the one to pull the strings behind the scenes, not as much anymore. A being of just brute force is easy to control anyway, their brains are usually the size of a pea. Being the real leader has its perks because when the Prince kills the big buffoon, which he will if the smell of the burnt air is any indication, she would sneakily continue the revolution right when the royal family thinks they have won. It would leave the royal family scrambling to find the true Captain, no one would think that a tiny goblin is the brain of the operation.

The smell of smoke grows stronger and Yu Yan feels like laughing.

She turns the monster beside her, "Make sure you bring your all. He's pissed."

The Captain tilts his head, "Why?"

Not surprising that the idiot can't comprehend basic emotions.

"Just fight him," she orders, "You even have back up, don't lose."

He will but that's fine. Because she's going to be there to take over and this time they will win, they will overthrow the royals cause they won't see it coming. She feels excited just thinking about it.

She goes back inside the cave and sees that the human has passed out from the pain. It is a pleasant sight, the blood, the ropes and the cuts. It's going to drive the Prince insane.

She hears thunder.

She closes her eyes and takes in a deep breath. She lets her power take over as she makes herself invisible. The only magic she can really do, she's not a powerful creature but who needs power when there's intelligence.

All she needs to do is wait and then she will rule.

Within moments she hears screams, multiple of them. Her little minions all slowly perishing, but that's okay, that's a sacrifice she's willing to make. She hears the roar of the Captain. The human startles awake.

"He Tian..." the boy mumbles and Yu Yan resists the urge slash his throat right there and then.

Humans can be so annoying.

The Prince tumbles in sooner than she would have liked. He was soaked in dark blood, surely not his own and his eyes burned with such fury that it made YuYan involuntarily tremble.

He let out a howl when he sees the human.

Yu Yan relishes at the pain behind it.

Right then the Prince looks directly at her. Yu Yan stills.

It can't be. She's invisible. There is no way he could see her.

The last thing she sees is the demon sprinting towards her.

Guan Shan wakes up feeling numb. All he could see is white and he blinks a couple of times, but the blinding whiteness doesn't fade.

Fuck am I dead?

Guan Shan tilts his head and almost startles at the sight of He Tian staring down at him, his gaze intense.
