Dragon world

In this world you either have wings or you don't. There is no in between. Most wingless dragons I know have children. All hybrids of winged dragons. They have a tendency to impregnate wingless and leave them. I was fortunate enough to be born with wings. My mom was unfortunately one of the victims of wing and wingless Hookups. My father truly loved me, but didn't want to visit. No one would come out to a wingless camp willingly. Only to hook up with one and leave.
I was walking through the village.
"Did you king Tord is coming tomorrow. To our village." A female said shocked.
I turned to her.
"What? Why?" I hissed.
She shrunk down noticing my wings.
"I don't know sir." She said softly.
I sighed.
"It's fine. You don't have to call me sir. I'm Tom." I said walking away.
She looked at her friend shocked.
I walked to a crowd of dragons. Some 1 year olds bumped into me and their mother quickly scooped them up.
"I'm so sorry." She said bowing.
I rolled my eyes. Couldn't they see I'm just like them. Walking. We all make mistakes.
"We all make mistakes. Right little ones." I said lowering my head to their level.
The male nodded. I smiled and walked away.
I saw the flick of green scales.
"EDD!" I yelled.
The green dragon stopped and turned around.
I've been friends with Edd for as long as I could remember. But now since I've been seeing him he's been different.
"Hey Tom." He sighed.
"Why the gloom? Ringo get out again?" I asked.
He nodded.
"Oh I'll help you find her." I said cheerfully.
"No you should be getting ready. Didn't you hear the king would be here tomorrow. He said he was looking for something. Maybe it's you. You don't really belong here." Edd said quietly.
"Oh. Okay." I said turning around.
I let my tail drag and put my head down like a servant bring a dish to the king that was over cooked.
I thought Edd would come up and apologize like he always did, but I guess the case for Ringo was serious.
I made it home. My mother looked at me and wiped her eye.
She played it off as scratching it, but I saw she was crying.
"I heard. The kings coming tomorrow." I said gloomily flopping onto my blanket pile.
"Do you know why honey?" She asked.
I looked at her. I shook my head.
"He's coming to get you. Darling stay strong there. I'll visit if I can. Or you can visit. It'll be nicer there." She said petting my purple spikes.
"At least your father will be able to see you more often."
I curled up. I wasn't old enough to leave home. It was all that stupid kings fault. If I could punch Tord without getting in trouble I would.
I just went to sleep for the rest of the day dreaming about tomorrow.

Tord

I lite the campfire.
"When will we be there admiral. That scoundrel needs to be locked up. He's king Pines son after all." Sami said.
He looked at me.
"Tomorrow. I'm not going to arrest him. I'll see if he has any useful information before I kidnap him." I said.
"I was asking the admiral." Sami snarled.
"I'm your king." I growled. Smoke coiled out of my nose, "What does this guy look like?"
"He has wings. He's the only one that does there. Well his mother is Yellowish gold and has black eyes. He inherited the black eyes and has golden trim. And blue scales. Purple horns. Some black speckles." Paul said.
I nodded, "he also has. Pf. I'm sorry. freckles."
That actually sounds cute. I thought.
I lied down.
"Wake me up when it's almost dawn."
Then I went to sleep.

Tom

I woke up to murmurs outside. He got up and saw his mother talking to someone at the door. The red sparkling scales were all he needed to get up and go to the back window and fly out.
"Sir! He's flying away!" Someone yelled.
The king looked at me roared and sent a hot blast of fire at me. I dodged it and started to fly as fast as I could. I didn't want to leave my village.
Then I was tackled.
"Did you forget about me." The king hissed.
He was quite handsome. He opened his mouth, but stopped he growled and flew off me. I caught myself in midair and followed him.
"Now. Tell me why you ran." Tord growled.
"I don't want to leave my mother. I'm not going with you anywhere." I hissed.
"I was just going to ask you some questions. I wasn't going to do anything. But I might now. No one runs from me." He growled, "unless they're guilty."
He got close to my face.
"What is your fathers name?"
"Chris. He said he lived in the winged city. He comes and visits when he can, but only for me." I answered.
"That's a lie." He hissed.
I was telling the truth.
"He was lying. Your dad is a king." Tord said.
I gasped.
"I didn't know that. If I did I would." I was cut off.
"He was probably trying to protect you." Tord said.
He flicked his tail and the three people with him looked at me.
"Anyway you will be coming with us to the capital." Tord said.
My eyes went white.
"But. But what about my mother?" I exclaimed.
"Will be fine." My mother said.
I sighed. I turned to her and took her front talons.
"Mother." I said.
"I don't want to hear it. Go have some fun." She said shoving me away.
And I felt myself being dragged away from the only home I had ever know.

Anyway. I drew the cast. Or what they look like as dragons so you get a better picture. I'm not really good at explaining things.
