24:Dragging me home

Shen Yue's POV

"You know , I have no idea what those green beans did to you for you to keep poking the crap outta them", Auntie Sue points out.

I've been like this for a few days.. since Wu Dugu texted me. Dylan was trying his best to make it up to me, I couldn't get my mind off things...

Wu Dugu texted me everyday saying Dylan was getting the baby room ready while he had harsh practices.. for upcoming games.. and still he got his team to the semi finals.

He also made sure my mom was feed and happy.. although she was weaker each day... according to Wynter.. when I had told her not to sugarcoat it.

Dylan regretted his actions and somehow even though I knew that my pride to forgive him was so big.

I was just being selfish and prideful at this point when it came to Dylan, I knew that at this point.

"Your sister told me about Dylan and the whole fiasco, how you became his surrogate to help pay your mom's expenses , you thought things would be simple where you left after the baby but now you grew attached without wanting to huh?"

I nod and I lower my head not wanting to admit that I cared about Dylan Wang still.

"Aish, life is too short to hold grudges , sweetheart , go on and makeup with Dylan , I'm sure whatever he did , he regrets it now and although you can't take back words, he's trying to make it up to you and it's what counts"

My phone rings on the table and I see it's a text from my sister.

Wynnie: so Kido and I have to go to this fancy masquerade party in a week because one of his good friends is throwing it and I know it's a lot but could you come with ?

Me: idk.. I'm starting to love SK

Wynnie: please , he has a cute friend.

Me: you already know I have feelings for someone

Wynnie: so you haven't gotten over Dylan huh?

Me: no but that doesn't mean I'm going to give into him easily.

Wynnie: i bought your dress and mask so please :( I'm too lazy to go return it

Me: you know what Wynter i hate that i can't ever say no to you, but it's fine I was coming back to check on mom

I lock my phone setting it aside and set my plate aside.

"Auntie Sue, I'm leaving next week, think we can make the most out of it by fangirling over exo and eating as much Korean street eats and desserts"

Auntie stands up and nods. "Definitely, sweetheart, now what are you craving?"

"Definitely some kimichi fried rice", I tell her.

"Say less, Niece"

She grabs her phone dialing a number. After spending a few weeks in South Korea I will definitely miss being her with Auntie Sue and her free spirit.

I should definitely be more like her. After ordering and an hour goes by quickly and our food is here , there is a knock on the door.

Auntie Sue stands up and rushed to grab the food and close the door.

She sets the phone down on the table. "So I didn't want to say anything but you asked me yesterday why I hadn't been drinking"

I look at her and nod for her to continue on what she was saying. "I think I might be pregnant, I thought it was impossible, but i wanted to wait to take the test with you here"

I forget all about my kimchi fried rice and rush to go hug her.

"I'm so happy for you Auntie"

"We don't even know if it's positive, I'll take it quickly and then we'll know!"

She rushes to the restroom and a few minutes go by and she's back holding two test.

"I don't even know if I should be happy or nervous"

I massage her shoulders so she could relax a bit.

"Be excited , you deserve this , if anyone deserves to be a mom it's you, Auntie"

Five minutes seemed like a whole lifetime until her phone rings indicating she would see the results.

She closes her eyes and hands me both tests. "I'm scared, please give me the news"

I look over at them read the big word positive on not just one of them but two of them. I wrap my arms giving her a bone crushing hug.

"Auntie , I am beyond happy to share you are going to be a mommy!!!"

She wraps her arms tightly. "I think I'm going to literally cry"

On cue her tears flow freely. "Tell Uncle, he's going to be so excited"

"I... I can't believe this is happening"

"What's happening?", Uncle walks in taking off his shoes.

He looks over at the pregnancy test on the table and his eyes go wide.

"You took a pregnancy test!!"

Auntie nods. "I did, i felt a lot different this time"

"I have a surprise for you Sue, your not only going to be a mom for just one baby but two!"

Auntie and I looking at each other question what Uncle said... two?

"I submitted adoption papers months ago, and we got accept our baby is a year old and we're just waiting on her paper work to be finalized"

My Aunt , Uncle and I excitedly hug... a new chapter was beginning in my Aunt's life and I was beyond happy for her.

"Why is it hard for me to leave here now, I use to think of South Korea as somewhere where it hurt to come back to but now it's become home again", I say sadly as I bidding my goodbye to Aunt just three days after finding out about her pregnancy.

She rubs my shoulder. "I'm so happy you feel like South Korea is home, now don't me a favor, don't forget to visit me again!"

"I won't , I'll come soon, after all I'm being dragged home because of a masquerade and a dress my shy sister doesn't want return"

Auntie laughs and shakes her head. "I wouldn't say your getting dragged to go home , you want to go because , the Dylan situation is eating you alive"

I only half smile and not bothering correcting her, because I knew deep inside I did want to eventually fix things with him.

"Plane to Shanghai, China , is now boarding", the person announced through the intercom.

I give my Aunt one last hug before walking towards the entrance of the plane.

So long South Korea, it was nice to heal and escape, from now on you are my safe haven.
