25: Surprise,Surprise

Dylan's POV

When I informed Wynter about wanting to win her sister back, even though she was never officially mine to begin with...

She nearly slapped me really hard for what I had said but then proceeded to plan a made up masquerade... for the upcoming semi finals that would take place in two months.

Kido held her back but when she realized I was being sincere, she realized everyone deserved second chances who actually wanted them..

she informed her sister it was a masquerade Kido had to go to for someone important.

What Shen Yue didn't know this whole thing was secretly her gender reveal since we would be informed the gender of the baby soon according to her and she said when she went to her check up she'd tell them to put the gender in an envelope for me since she had no business with the baby..

She even had made invitations in which were mailed to all of my teammates along with some close family, being my adoptive family and Shen Yue's family.

That day I sat in my study with so many thoughts racing in my mind...

Could I actually pull all this off?

A knock is heard on my door and I mumble to come in and my younger brother appears Wu Dugu.

"Hey Dylan", he greets me and takes a seat on the big chair in front of my desk.

I smile. "Hi, how are things?" , I attempt to get my mind off things for a while.

"Better, although I didn't want to stoop to that old woman's ways , all the rumors have been dropped.. thanks to Kido and also you"

"That's good to heard I bet it's been a tough couple of weeks especially finding out that you have a biological brother and he's also your step brother's best friend"

He nods but his smile from a few weeks isn't as tense as before.. which meant he was beginning to warm up to me in some way..

"Thanks for not pressuring me, you've been really patient with me despite us having feelings for the same woman, although I know now that for me it's one sided , but despite everything I know that on your end , it's not one sided at all", he raises in eyebrows in a teasing manner, it felt like he had been here and never had left lately.

Having a younger brother felt nice and home... like I could feel that at ease now , I knew my parents blamed me for his disappearance but therapy helped me realize I was just a helpless child who didn't even do it in purpose and they shouldn't have ever blamed me to begin with.

"Even if she does or did have feelings for me, I still said these hurtful things I can't seem to get passed by and I know she feels that way"

My face falls,I feel a slight flick on my forehead.. and I look up seeing that Wu Dugu flicked my forehead.

"Quit sulking so much, have you not seen the lion king.. you gotta put your past behind you!!, own what you said and try to make up for it man, don't be such a Debbie downer"

I hold my forehead. "Dude that literally hurt, it wasn't just a simple flick , you put muscle into it!"

He shakes his head. "Go get yourself a nice tuxedo , because you're winning her again"

"Wake up, stupid", my younger brother smacks me with a pillow.
