“I know what you came here for.”

“And what is that?” She asked leaning towards him.

“This,” he lifted the necklace from his pocket. She reached out to get it but he pulled it back to quickly. “But no you cannot have it because I got it first.”

“It is special to me be careful with it and give it back now!” She commanded snarling at him.

“Why?” He asked looking up at her not really caring, “You never wore it anyway why is it so important to you?”

She didn’t answer right away, causing him to lean the necklace over the fire. “No!” She tried again to snatch it from his hand but it was no use he had it. “It was my friends, and he is dead it’s the last thing I have from him,” she whispered, looking at the necklace and the engraving in it of the God she didn’t know.

He looked up at her with confusion. “You have a heart. I thought pirates didn’t have a heart or care about others only about themselves.” He said looking at her and glancing occasionally at the neckless.

“I was a pirate I am no longer one. Now please give me back the necklace.” She held out her hand towards him waiting patiently.

“Fine, take your stupid necklace but I am still handing you to them,” he threw the necklace at her rolling his eyes and walking back to the wheel of the ship.

She caught it and whispered, “Thank you.”

“Did you just say thank you!?!?” Geez you really aren’t a pirate why did they even hire you!”

Right after he said that an arrow was right between his two fingers that were five inches apart from one another. He wasn’t bleeding to his surprise, not knowing how anyone can shoot like that and not hurt someone. He looked over at her.

She held a bow in one hand when just a second ago her hand was empty a bow hadn’t been in sight. He didn’t even see her move, and he had been watching her. She smirked at him. “I wasn’t as merciful back then as I am now or you would have an eye.”

“I could have dodged you pirate! I am a rouge after all!” She laughed at that making his heart flutter at her laugh.

He cursed himself he couldn’t fall in love with her he had a job to get done. But unknown to him he was already in love.

4 hours later

The pirate women was dancing now with someone from his crew. Sparking a string of jealously inside of him. He tried his hardest to frown, but she was so beautiful and he couldn’t help it he smiled at her startling his crew.

“Captain,” someone whispered on his left, making him jump. “Sorry Captain, but what is with you today?”

“Nothing William is something wrong with you?”

William looked confused at his Captain. “What?! But you look like-“

“Look like what?” The Captain asked, crossing his arms.

“In love,” the first mate muttered, looking over at the lady pirate.

The lady pirate feeling like everyone was watching her stopped dancing with her partner, leaving him disappointed. She tensed up walking over to the card table she sat putting her feet up turning and watching the Captain with angry eyes.

The captain started over to lady pirate before he got to her the ship rocked, causing everyone to fall over from the impact.

“The heck was that!” The first mate said trying to get up but failing when more rocking occurred.
