“Did you think it was that easy to escape us?” A voice asked.

“I did escape!” I muttered turning towards the voice.

“Did you or was it just a dream?” The voice asked coming closer to me.

“Stay away I have my powers and I am not afraid to use them!” I said raising my fists ready to fight.

“Darling, we gave you these powers and we know exactly how to make it so you cannot use them.”

“No!” I cried, backing away from them. “Leave me alone!”

“We never will 217 you will never escape us truly.”

I screamed not realizing it was a dream, and I felt a hand on my shoulder as I woke up.

“Water it's ok,” Phoenix voice said as they watched tears run down from my sunglasses.

“I’m fine,” I whispered, pushing myself to my feet feeling the lack of water in my veins.

Phoenix nodded knowing it was best not to question it and moved away from me.

“Where are the others?” I asked looking around not wanting to mention that I hadn’t been near water recently.

He pointed to the left side of the forest and muttered, “I’m on watch.”

“I’ll join you,” I said getting up and sitting where I knew the others sat last night for the watch.

He raised his eyebrows at me almost trying to tell me I didn’t have to.

“Leave it be Phoenix,” I muttered, turning away and watching the birds flying around. While trying to ignore Lizzy and the dream.

“Water,” Lizzy hissed in my mind.

“Shut up and leave me alone,” I growled mentally.

“Please, just listen-“ She started, but I shut her out.

I heard soft flute music for a song Phoenix was most likely perfecting, but I didn’t feel like listening to music.

A hand came gently gripping my shoulder, and it made me flinch. But I composed myself breathing a bit and turning.

“Hey Water Witch!” Ainsel my shadow friend said not looking in my eyes. “Are you ok?”

“I’m fine,” I said, looking over at Phoenix, knowing he had put my shadow friend up to this. “Thanks for asking though.”

Ainsel looked like he wanted to say more but just nodded and walked away not wanting to be rude and push me which I was grateful for.

“Let’s head out,” Dimitri said gesturing us all to come.

I followed not saying a word which caused many raised eyebrows and concerns from the rest of the party.

“What is wrong with her?” The computer asked Ainsel which I wasn’t supposed to hear.

“She doesn’t want to talk about it and I would suggest not to bother her,” Ainsel responded, strolling along.

“Fine, I will bother her later than,” the computer said.

We walked for hours and I continued to be silent not wanting to talk. I was itchy from the lack of Water I hadn’t been talking which wasn’t the best decision I could have made. But I didn’t really care.
