“Oh, just great just what I want to deal with,” I muttered under my breath before bending down into the bushes back down with Olivia. “Evil Santa Elves.”“Alysaa...” she started before giving up and quietly biting her nails as she began to panic.
We both watched as the Evil Santa Elves walked down the road into the small red house, which I assumed was their lovely ‘workshop.’
“Olivia stay here,” I commanded her as I got up moving closer.
“What?! Why?! What are you thinking that you can do?” She asked as the several questions came out of her mouth.
“Shush,” I told her before I crawled under a bush to get a better view.
I didn’t really care how many cuts I got, but I needed to know what was happening. Our little sister had been dumb enough to jump through the portal leading to not the good North Pole but the evil one. Which I didn’t even know that two different kinds even existed until today!?!
When it was clear, and I knew it was safe for Olivia to come over. I gestured for her over.
She scrambled over hiding behind the bush, not wanting to go in it and get hurt by the thorns.
I didn’t care much about getting hurt my sisters were what mattered most at the moment.
“Wait here Olivia,” I told her before going deeper into the bushes.
“No way!” She said and like I didn’t want her too she crawled after me.
I sighed and kept crawling until I found the door on the side of the bushes. I got up slowly turning my head once... twice.. three times before I was satisfied.
Reaching towards Olivia, I quickly pulled her and me through the door into the room ahead.
It was dark, and I reached for a light switch and I flicked it. When the light turned on, we saw Elves all turned towards us blinding and stopping their mid work of perfecting their lovely coal.
I slowly turned off the light before pushing Olivia and I out the door.
“Oh boy,” I muttered under my breath before pulling Olivia away and bolting as fast as I could go away from that awful door.
“I thought you were the smart one!” Olivia cried from behind me as I pulled her into the run.
I wanted to stop and give her a dirty look, but I didn’t have time for that. Toy soldiers came out of nowhere and tried to block our paths.
“Quick!” I cried before I pushed Olivia through another door.
“What-“ she started to ask, but she stopped herself with a scream as she slipped somehow from my grasp.
I jumped through the doorway and landed on a slide facing forward.
“Oh no, I hate slides!” I said before I slid down the long dark slide.
I heard Olivia’s screaming as she must have been still going down the slide. No matter how hard I tried, I still saw nothing!
I had to find a way off of this- I started to think before I hit the bottom hard.
“Ow,” I groaned before pushing myself to my feet.
I found Olivia’s shaking hand and pulled the frozen one to her feet.
“All right enough snap out of it we don’t have time for this,” I told her not liking that I was being this way.
But I knew that we would get hurt if we didn’t keep moving. I didn’t wait for a response before I looked around for a source of light.
Instead, I heard sobbing ahead, which stopped me instantly in slight shock. Before I snapped myself out of it.
I pulled Olivia with me towards the sound, which led to a light as well.A small Evil Elf guarded a small cage with a pickaxe. I looked around before finding a small wooden plank. I picked it up before letting go of Olivia’s hand.
I creeped forward as I felt my sister’s eyes from behind. I knew Olivia would be mad at me for seeming to do something dumb. But I had to get our other sister, Mary, back.
I quickly hit the Evil Elf over the head and took their small light. I grabbed the Elf’s keys before looking inside the cage.
“Alyssa,” my sister’s little voice called from the cell.
“Shush, I’m here now,” I calmly said before opening her cell.
I pulled Mary out and went back to a furious Olivia.
“What were you thinking?!?!” She hissed at me. “You could’ve gotten yourself kidnapped too! And what would I have done? You’re usually the smart one!”
“Saving our sister,” I bluntly said before pulling Olivia further into the light and down the hall.
Olivia took Mary from me gently comforting the crying Mary.
I was never good with comforting, so Olivia was perfect for the job. I looked down the end of the hall and found the door Mary had ran though before.
I threw open the door and found the portal. I looked around for the portal key. While I was looking, I found the Snowglobe that led to this place.
I slipped it silently into my pocket before opening the portal. The portal swirled red and green a fix of the Christmas colors.
As my siblings and I began to teleport back one thing crossed my mind; next year I would be back and I would burn this place to the ground.
