The world thundered around them as an earthquake shook the ground. He held her close keeping her from the cracks slowly nearing them.

"Flint," she whispered fear struggling to stay out of her voice. "We aren't going to survive this. The cracks are only getting closer."

"Shush," he muttered gently rubbing her back hoping to comfort her. "Just focus on breathing, okay?"

"But I don't want to die," she whispered a tear falling from her eye.

"I know but think about this, while we probably won't make it we can't be torn apart. Romina we can't live apart, no matter what form we're we will find each other in our next life. Even with other names, I shall find you."

"I don't want to lose you," she muttered wrapping her arms around him. "I love you."

"I love you too."

He watched fire fly around them and no matter what happened he knew he wouldn't lose her. Not in this life and not in the next. He took his last breath, and they sunk in darkness.

25 years later

"You bloody idiot!" She screamed, racing towards him on the rug. "Give me back my dagger!"

He smirked and slid down the hallway, trying to stay away from her grip.

They tumbled, and she was the one looking down at him before she rolled her eyes, stealing her dagger back. She rolled back onto her feet, not offering him a hand instead; she straightened her outfit.

He grumbled pushing himself to his feet before his annoyed playful voice came, "You know I was going to use that and give it right back."

"No-" she sheathed her dagger locking it into place, "-I think not."

"But honey sickle-" he started.

She glared at him, instantly cutting him off.

A knock on the door interrupted them both.

She got up and straightened her outfit. Before she went to the door and opened it.

"Are you Miss Rosemary?" A calm and collective voice asked.

"That would be me," she answered calmly, her dark eyes looking out past the door.

The voice on the other side of the door didn't say more, leaving an awkward silence before Rosemary cut the silence.

"So? What do you want? I haven't got all day, " She said, her foot beginning to tap from annoyance.

"We want you, Mrs. Rosemary," the voice said.

"Excuse me?" She said venom dripping off her tongue as she put a hand on her hip. "Sorry but no one by myself owns me."

She tried to slam the door shut, but a hand came out and gripped the edge of the door with a force she had yet to encounter.

"Sorry Miss Rosemary we don't take that for an answer."

Her boyfriend pushed himself to his feet as the door was thrown open, and Rosemary hit the ground.

The darkness seemed to surround the room, making it impossible to see.

A force of magical wind slammed against Rosemary's boyfriend, slamming him into the wall. Blood trickled down the side of his face.

His vision blurred as he heard a fight commence, even though he couldn't see a thing.

"Flynn!!" Rosemary screamed as black dots danced around his vision.

"Rosemary," he muttered, trying to get up.

His legs gave out, and he fell to the ground. As his darkness washed him into the world of dreams.

He awoke to the feeling of a warm compress to his head. He dared not open his eyes yet in case he was in danger. He calmed his breathing and listened to any sounds around.

He was expecting screaming, fighting, or even silence. What he wasn't expecting was humming.

A beautiful melody floated in the air, filling the room with magic and light.

"Shush it will be alright," a gentle voice said, as they adjusted the cloth on his forehead.

He heard her footsteps and the tapping of something against the floor, back and forth to the rhythm of a song.

He opened his left eye and watched a young woman covered in dirt humming and dancing with a broom.

She smiled, stirring a pot of some strew.

He slowly sat up before groaning as black dots clung to his vision.

"Easy, easy there," she said noticing he was up.

She put the broom down and gently walked over, reaching over towards the rag upon his head.

He moved away, scooting all the way to the end of the bed as far as he could go without falling off.

"Hey it's okay I will not hurt you," she said putting her hand down and moving a chair over to sit near him mostly to make sure he didn't fall off the bed.

"Where am I?" His voice came out harsh and dry from the lack of drinking water.

"My house well, more a one-roomed house at that," she told him smoothing out her skirt.

"I must leave," Flynn said trying to get up.

His legs instantly gave out, and he crumbled to the ground.

"Oh, dear!" The woman cried, coming over and picking him up.

Which certainly surprised him. He was definitely not light. He sat there staring at her, his mouth slightly opened in shock.

"How did you lift me?" He asked, still staring at her.

She shifted uncomfortably before gesturing to some bags, "I lift flour."

"I didn't realize they made woman carry flour in the bakery," he muttered and only after he said it he realized he should've just kept his mouth shut.

"Woman aren't weak Mr whatever your name is," she huffed getting up and going over to her oven.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean that," Flynn said looking down.

"I am so worried about my fiance that I forgot how rude that could sound. I truly am sorry," he told her, hoping he didn't anger a woman that could probably beat him in an arm wrestle contest.

"Fine," she said quietly, pulling some warm bread out of the oven. "Once you feel better, I'll help you find your fiance."

"No, I need to go now!" he demanded, his voice getting loud and with panic.

"Not with that bad of a concussion," she told him as she started to butter the bread.

"But-" he started looking over at her.

She stopped, turning, and gave a look, making him instantly shut his mouth.

"No."

He laid back down he hadn't encountered someone who could give such a terrifying look. And he wasn't in the mood for this lady to knock him unconscious.

He looked at the ceiling as his eyes slowly began to close, "I'll find you, Rosemary. I always do."
