Being The Hero Isn't Done Without Consequences (Part 1)

"You can't save everyone."

"I have to try," I whispered, forcing the water in the dam to all smash into the wall getting it ready for when they came.

"Phoenix wouldn't want you to do this," Ainsel said, trying to convince me to stop.

"And you know what Phoenix can't think if they're dead!" I said turning to look at them even with my sunglasses I got my point across.

"I don't want to leave you," he told me, clutching Phoenix in his arms.

"If you won't go I'll make you," I said, summoning up water and pushing them all the way to the end of the bridge.

"Water!" Ainsel cried as I pushed them all the way away.

I kept pushing the water forcing him to run as I wouldn't let him save me. A tear slipped down my face as I grabbed the dagger and went to stab myself with it not wanting them to get me.

But a hand stopped me clutching my wrist. I screamed and tried to trash out of their grip not wanting them to get me but they were too strong.

"Let go!" I screamed as I tried to hit them with my head.

"No 218 you are, what we have wanted all this time and we finally will get revenge for what you did," a voice whispered in my ear as they stabbed a needle into my neck.

"No!" I screamed and broke free.

I ripped the needle out of my neck and threw it on the ground, crushing it with my foot. I looked up at the person who had grabbed me.

He was a man a lot taller than me, which was a shocker. He was superhuman I could tell that. He would be a hard one to get down. But I had to survive for Phoenix I couldn't let them get me.

The world started to spin but I couldn't let that get me. I pushed almost all my energy to hurl the rest of the enemies on the bridge off into the deep water that had nothing to grip onto. I took more water and smashed it hard against the dam feeling it begin to shatter underneath me. I could heal I just needed to get into the water below.

I watched the man almost with lightning speed rush forward and grab me.

I dizzyingly took a swing at him and he missed easily. He picked me up, and I trashed all I could do was hit his nose causing it to bleed.

"You'll pay for that little Witch," he said, tightening his grip on me and carrying me bridal style off the bride.

"Let me go," I said my words beginning to slur.

"No, I have been waiting to get you not P217 just you oh I so wanted to experiment on you myself we will get to know each other real soon. And you won't be able to escape this time," the man said, not caring when I started to cough from the medicine.

In a last attempt to make sure he didn't get me, I pushed my last energy into taking water and trying to force myself free and I did. I got up and ran towards the edge and jumped. I almost made it to freedom.

But he grabbed me, smashing me hard against the collapsing side of the dam. I hit my head hard and began to feel blood dripping down my face.

As he pulled me up, I began to see black dots and before I knew it I passed out.

Phoenix awoke everyone standing over them everyone except Water Witch. They got up panicky searching around for her before anyone could stop them.
