"It's all up to me," she mumbled walking forward towards the coffin she knew wasn't empty.

The others were fighting the demons. They weren't doing well, in the battle. But she worried and wondered how everything would work on the Day of The Dead. Would it be easier for them to be vampires or were they safer? Probably not safer she couldn't see it being that way.

She looked hesitantly put her hands on the coffin knowing if her friends knew what she was doing they would kill her. She turned to look back at them. They didn't notice, so she was safe for now. She would deal with the consequences later.

She turned back to the coffin and leaned over enough to look inside. A hand shot out before she could get a good look.

She tried to scream, but a hand covered her mouth. Next, she did the most logical thing she could think of she flicked her dagger and tried to stab the thing holding her.

She didn't expect to feel the dagger ripped from her hand. How could she? She had practiced the skill beating the best time in her gang to draw and stab someone with her dagger. She thought five seconds was quick enough, but she was wrong.

Someone's breath was on her ear, making her freeze knowing the shadows couldn't hide her there. "Oh Lia," a dark voice said that caused shivers to go up her spine. "You're so cute thinking you could outsmart a Vampire especially Dracula's son."

She struggled trying to get out of his grip but it only caused him to tighten it.

"You would make a beautiful Vampire," Dracula's son said holding her with one arm and trying to pull her hair away from her neck.

Lia trashed and tried to escape, but it was no use. She couldn't win against the Vampire of Dracula she knew it would not happen.

"Oh, don't be that way love," he said, pulling her toward the coffin to lock her inside while he dealt with the others.

She got her mouth free and screamed, "Let me go you stupid, ugly, disgusting freaking Vampire!"

"Well, little feisty aren't we Lia," he said, stopping and pulling her hair away.

"Let me go!" Lia screamed, trying to fight his steel grip. "You are just a coward too afraid to fight fair and square!"

"Oh, really?" he asked, loosening his grip on her before he pushed her to the ground.

She scrambled, backing up terrified that she would die. She was in so much trouble.

"Let's see you try," the Vampire said smirking showing off his fangs to her.

Lia bolted as fast as she could. She knew it probably wouldn't work but all she could do was try. But Lia figured if the others knew what was going on, they would come to save her. So she assumed an illusion was cast upon this scene.

"Oh god I don't want to die," she repeated again and again trying to force all her energy into her legs.

She looked over her shoulder as she ran. The Vampire wasn't there.

Just great, she thought looking forward again.

One second she was running the next her back was against the ground.

His red eyes stared into her terrified crystal blue eyes and he laughed.

She tried to fight as he bent down to bite her. Her rogue skill finally care into handy and she thrusted her hand up plunging a dagger into his heart.
