Hi, guys! How is everyone? Hope you guys are all good! Hope you guys like it! Enjoy!

My heart pounded in my chest as I stared up at the towering beast before me.

“I’m so dead,” I muttered to myself as I slowly started to back up away from the monster.

“Where are you going little spider?” The beast asked laughing slightly causing shivers to go up and down my spine. “Afraid that a big monster will crush you?”

“More you should be worried of the venom the little spider has,” I said trying to sound big and brave but to my dismay a small squeak came out ruining my job at trying to be intimidating.

The beast laughed as I got out the one thing that I could think of to use, my guitar. It was unique it wasn’t like any guitar most would see. I took pride in my guitar and my ability to carry my oboe. But I put my oboe into my magical bag that had endless space, while using my guitar as my current main instrument.

My instruments while I loved them weren’t something I could talk about at the time. I gripped the guitar pick as the huge monster towered down towards me.

I quickly strummed across the strings a fast tune that empathized how terrified yet angry I was. The magic flew towards the monster attacking and dealing tons of damage.

I played and played and played. I almost had gotten him as I kept a small eye behind me looking at my unconscious teammates. Sometimes the Bard would have to save the day. One of the very rare days.

I strummed the strings as fast as my heart raced, sweat dripping down my face.

It was only when I looked back for one second at my teammates that I realized my mistake; I hadn’t looked for the tail of the monster.

The tail hit me hard knocking my guitar from my still playing hands. Causing it to spin and land painfully onto the ground making me flinch.

“What now little Spider?” The monster asked reaching it’s long black fingers towards me.

“Little Spider has no little spout to go up to safety to be the baby coward you are,” it said to me it’s black fingers pushing my head painfully up to look into it’s ugly eyes.

“I need no-“ I started to say.

“Silence,” it hissed, grabbing me in a choking hold.

No.. no this wouldn’t be my end Samuel needed me alive. That small creature couldn’t survive without me. But my teammates would die and Samuel with them if I didn’t do something.

I reached up looking as if I was reaching for my throat before I slid a small dagger out and stabbed the beast.

The beast roared in rage, letting go of me. Giving me the desperate air I needed.

I gasped trying to take as much air as I could in. If the beast had easily gotten to me like that and my guitar wasn’t enough, I would fail. No, I couldn’t let that happen!

I turned back, grabbing my oboe, looking back at the monster I began to play. There was one thing left I could do if this didn’t work.

The monster charged towards me and I knew this wouldn’t work. I looked back at my Samuel and my fellow companions.

Suddenly it hit me, fireball would have to work. Fireball in its glory if it hit right could kill this monster. The edge of the chasm was right there and if I hit his foot, he would be forced to fall towards his right falling down the chasm.

I played and was just about to cast my spell when the beast picked me up. He held me so tightly there was no way I could get free.

He was still positioned correctly meaning I could still hit him. But I would fall with him. I looked back at my friends and Samuel. Samuel my best friend who stuck around me for everything. The first one who accepted me as a Drow and didn’t think of me as a monster because of my race.

“Goodbye loves,” I whispered as tears began to fall from my dark eyes. “Remember me.”

I played the sharpest note on my oboe and fireballed his leg.

The monster howled in pain before tilting to the right as I had predicted. He fell started falling down the chasm.

I looked up at the night sky the one thing that always guided me to what I needed to do.

Then I hit the ground with the beast.  As the light faded from my eyes I realized I would join the stars that would lead my friends to safety.

“Goodbye,” I muttered before the darkness finally took me and I joined the stars.
